  1. (2 other versions)Problematic of Technology and the Realms of Salvation in Heidegger's Philosophy.Charley Ejede Mejame - 2009 - Forum Philosophicum: International Journal for Philosophy 14 (2):343-367.
The aim of this paper is the exploration of Heidegger's interpretation of the phenomenon of technology against the background of his new vision of reality. It can be said that in this context sin which was formerly moral and religious became in our age, as it were, technological. Because man has distanced himself from the Nature, he finds himself at the same time alienated and guilty, contemplating, like a child brazen in the brainlessness of what he has done and waiting (...)

Essas conexões permitem questionar a inserção (...)

Sara Baranzoni & Paolo Vignola - unknown
Deleuze and Guattari's concept of “dividual”, as the result of a process of individualization and the digital codification of social life within societies of control, is one of the most discussed concepts in this first part of the 21st century. According to Thomas Berns and Antoinette Rouv- roy, a new form of power and control is emerging, “Algorithmic Governmentality”, which causes several theoretical problems for earlier perspectives on politics and technology, and in which the dividual amounts to a symptom, felt (...)

Plessner’s Stufen des Organischen questions both the conditions of possibility as well as the consequences of a self-understanding of life. Originally written against the background of urbanisation, industrialisation and colonisation, the strength of Plessner’s work lies in his combination of an analyticalphilosophical conceptualisation, the introduction of materiality and the body as well as his historical–ethical dimension. As a re-sult of this combination, Plessner’s approach is well suited to contribute to the current inter-national discourse on the relationship of sociality and materiality. (...)

The development of modern information and communication technologies has enabled the spread of tools and procedures dedicated to the discretization of reality, already involving inconceivable and unprecedented swathes of informations. The diversity, volume and velocity of data has made possible a vast set of digital contents: this is not just a form of technical externalization, of data storage, or of symbolic representation, but also the tangible basis for a new form of power, ‘algorithmic governmentality’, which uses the mathematical analysis of (...)

The essay aims to reflect on the question about how we become ourselves finding an answer in our species-specific technical creativity. By using the reflexions of Gilbert Simondon, Lambros Malafouris and Don Ihde, I want to suggest that through the modifications imported to the environment by virtue of technical mediations, human beings are in the condition of acting upon themselves. Our very technical mediations reorganize our cognitive and sensitive experience of the world.

: This paper combines Simondon’s philosophy of individuation with some aspects of post-humanist and‘new materialist’ thought, while, at the same time, remaining within the ambit of a more classically ‘historical’characterisation of materialism. Two keywords drawn from Karen Barad and Simondon respectively – ‘ontoepistemology’and ‘axiontology’ – represent the red thread of a narrative that connects the early modern invention of civil science to Wiener’s cybernetic theory ofsociety. The political stakes common to these forms of what I call ‘banal’ materialism, Simondon attacked (...)

This essay takes from Gilbert Simondon's work some elements of political philosophy, developing the implications of a pathway where the problem of technique turns out to be essential. Through a constant comparison with the present debate, this dissertation takes into account the entire corpus of Simondon’s work and its sources, inherited mainly from the phenomenological (Merleau-Ponty) and epistemological tradition (Canguilhem). The first section analyzes the way Simondon tries to re-configure the conceptual apparatus of philosophy according to some instruments given by (...)
