The sector contributes about 40 % GDP, beside 45% to the total manufacturing output and 40 % to the exports from the country.     The paper identifies the phenomenal rise of increasingly invasive forms of elective cosmetic surgery targeted primarily at women and explores its significance in the context of contemporary biotechnology.
