This is a reading of Spivak as an heir to Sri Avinavagupta and Sri Ramakrishna. We ignore the fact that Spivak is a Shakta in her corpus. This review corrects/revises our understanding of Spivak and reinstates her as she really deserves to be read: she is within the traditions of Tantra. With the rising global prevalence of cardiovascular diseases and the growing need for accessible healthcare solutions, there is a critical demand for systems that can provide both continuous monitoring and early diagnosis. This project presents a Smart Health Monitoring System with Real-Time Vital Tracking and Predictive Diagnostics, a comprehensive and intelligent health management platform that combines Internet of Things (IoT) technology with machine learning- based predictive analytics. The system integrates a heartbeat sensor and DS18B20 temperature sensor connected to an ESP32 (...) microcontroller, which continuously captures vital physiological parameters. This data is transmitted wirelessly to a Flask-powered web server, where it is logged, visualized in real time through an interactive dashboard, and stored for further analysis. A review of Francoise Laruelle's General Theory of Victims, which places Laruelle's theory in the context of post-colonial theories of the subaltern subject after Gayatri Spivak and Edward Said. The review questions whether Laruelle's General Theory of Victims really allows the so-called victims to speak for themselves, or simply represents another attempt by Western (French?) intellectuals to speak to/through the victims, for their own political and theoretical purposes.

Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak asked a question in 1988: ‘Can the Subaltern Speak?’ That question was the expression of a lifetime of observation of the marginalised and witnessing of attempts to civilise the ‘aborigine’. Eventually, this question led to A Critique of Postcolonial Reason: Toward a History of the Vanishing Present (CPR) in 1999. A seminal work, this book unsettled and reoriented the thoughts of scholars, brought up new questions and insights, and the very construct of civilisation and culture was (...) challenged. In 2000 a group of scholars, of whom many were Gayatri’s students—the first name of the celebrated thinker is being used in this review in keeping with her radical spirit—came together as a panel in the annual meeting of the International Association for Philosophy and Literature at Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York, to deliberate on CPR. The panel discussions were engaging and elicited extraordinary response. This encouraged the publication of the proceedings as a special symposium in 2002 in the journal Interventions: International Journal of Postcolonial Studies. The expectation of receiving goods and deliveries the same day or within a few days has now become the global standard for the majority of nations. The demand for such delivery services has been significantly altered by the expansion of online selling, E-commerce, and consumer online shopping behaviours. A web-based platform called an online courier booking management software optimises all activities associated to the courier industry. Nowadays, vehicle parking has become a significant issue in urban areas due to the shortage of parking spaces. Finding a suitable parking spot during rush hours in metropolitan regions is often difficult and frustrating. To address this problem, the paper titled “Smart Parking System Using Android Application” proposes an efficient solution aimed at reducing traffic congestion in roads, multi-storey buildings, and malls caused by the unavailability of parking spaces. The proposed application simplifies the process of parking slot reservation by allowing (...) users to view available parking areas in real-time and check whether a space is available. If an empty slot is found, users can book it for a specific time period. The system also displays the nearest available slot based on the user’s location using GPS technology. The primary goal of the project is to utilize parking spaces efficiently while minimizing traffic congestion. Conventional visual secret sharing (VSS) schemes hide secret images in shares that are either printed on transparencies or are encoded and stored in a digital form. The shares can appear as noise-like pixels or as meaningful images; but it will arouse suspicion and increase interception risk during transmission of the shares. Hence, VSS schemes suffer from a transmission risk problem for the secret itself and for the participants who are involved in the VSS scheme. To address this problem, we proposed (...) a novel technique for steganography using a texture and also a natural-image-based VSS scheme (NVSS scheme) that shares secret images via various carrier media to protect the secret and the participants during the transmission phase. We contrive the texture synthesis process into steganography to hide secret messages. In comparison to using an existing cover image to hide messages, our algorithm hides the source texture image and embeds secret messages through the process of stenography. The natural shares can be photos or hand-painted pictures in digital form or in printed form. We also propose possible ways to hide the secret to reduce the transmission risk problem for the share. Experimental results indicate that the proposed approach is an excellent solution for solving the transmission risk problem for the VSS schemes. (shrink)

Ramayan Through Kundalini Yoga Shodasi is an ideal read for Sanskrit-literate readers who are open to eclectic yogarthas and connotative meanings -------- So you thought Vyasa was before Valmiki, Mahabharat was before Ramayan, Rama a Vishnu avatar, and tantrism distinct from vedism? Think again. In Shodasi: Secrets of the Ramayana, Telugu poet Seshendra Sharma re-reads the Ramayan to come up with a number of new conclusions. Much of the book sets out to prove that Ramayan was written before the Mahabharat. (...) Sharma discusses how Indra is cited more often than Vishnu, thus placing the context of the Ramayan closer to Vedic than Puranic thought. He quotes from the Mahabharat to show how it follows descriptions of hills, rivers from the Ramayan. The Mahabharat has some prose, and therefore, it must have been composed after Ramayan, which is entirely in poetry. These are only some of the numerous reasons that Sharma offers to suggest a new sequence of our itihasas. Sharma’s book is also an experimental reading of the Ramayan through the interpretive lens of what he calls Kundalini yoga. Hanuman’s flight to Sri Lanka gets a new interpretation. “Charana Charite Pathi” is interpreted as the path of Kundalini, and the first verse of the Sundara Kanda “Tatho Ravana Nithayah” is interpreted by Sharma to refer to Hanuman traversing the sushumna nadi of the Kundalini. Trijata’s dream becomes the Gayatri mantra through an imaginative recasting of words as numbers. Gaja (elephant) means eight, danta (teeth) means thirty-two, and maha-gaja-chaturdantam somehow also adds up to 32 syllables, which is the number of syllables in the Gayatri mantra. That Trijata’s dream is halfway through the Ramayan also becomes significant for Sharma, he calls it the ‘central bead’ in the Ramayan garland of 24,000 beads. Identifying 32-syllables as the Gayatri follows a convention, for mantras are referenced by the number of syllables; however, it is the “secret” yogartha—or mystical, anagogical translations—derived by Sharma that becomes problematic, unless he is considered an authority in his own right. conclude that the name Sundarakand is unrelated to any descriptions of beauty of any of the main characters in the Ramayan. However, Soundarya and Tripura-Sundari are well-known conventions in the tantric tradition and hence, Sharma concludes that Sundarakand derives its name from Shakti’s beauty, and “Sundara-Hanuman” means “Hanuman who is a devotee of Devi” (117). A coda in this book is about the benedictory verse in Kalidasa’s Sakuntalam which has traditionally been understood to refer to Ishwara. Sharma re-interprets this verse highlighting the “eight forms” of the last line as the eight forms of Devi that please Ishwara. This book is suitable for a reader who is Sanskrit-literate and open to eclectic yogarthas and connotative meanings. Sharma cites substantially from the Ramayan in roman but without diacritics, this is difficult to follow; and he does not always include translation. Sharma often cites commentators without citing names and sources. It is not clear why the book is called Shodasi—readers may note, this book is not about the Srividya tradition. Even if the reader is unconvinced by Sharma’s reasoning or methodology, the free flow of references may prove absorbing for a reader interested in the subject. The neurosecretory cells (NSCs) with their combination of neuronal and glandular capabilities are perfectly suited to translate a neuronal input into the hormonal output best suited to long-term process. In this capacity, the NSCs may produce hormones, which act directly upon the (...) peripheral target or it may exert its effect indirectly by influencing the activity of other non-neural, endocrine organs. Neurosecretory cells have been detected in the cerebral, pedal and visceral ganglia of Lamellidens corrianus. The distribution and biology of freshwater bivalve like Lamellidens corrianus is influenced by local ecological factors (like temperature, pH, inorganic salts, type of soil etc.), water flow system and presence of micro-organisms, teleost fishes and seasonal variations in these parameters. Nitrogenous excretory changes which include ammonia in these molluscs is also influenced by these local ecological factors in which temperature is plays very crucial role. It is well known fact that the high stress conditions during drought or severe winter conditions have been conquered by several lineage of gastropods and sand bivalves and their ability to enter the resistant or dormant stages (low food) protein catabolism increased. Present investigation deals with the oxygen consumption and ammonia excretion ratio of these freshwater pelecypode Lamellidens corrianus. Study on Lemellidens corrianus directed in understanding the different behavioral and physiological aspects after cerebral ganglia removal and injection of their extracts revealed significant changes during summer (April-May). The project focuses on developing an advanced authentication mechanism to counteract the growing threat of keylogging attacks. Keylogging, a type of cyber-attack that captures keystrokes to steal sensitive information, poses a significant risk to traditional authentication methods that rely on keyboard input. This project introduces a novel security approach combining two key innovations: a dual-keypad input system and a visual authentication protocol. The dual-keypad system consists of two separate input keypad (Normal Keypad and Virtual Keypad), each responsible for a different (...) aspect of the authentication process. This separation complicates the ability for keyloggers to capture complete authentication sequences, thereby enhancing security. Simultaneously, the visual authentication component introduces a dynamic, graphical verification process that complements the dual-keypad system. Users interact with visual elements—such as images or patterns—displayed on a screen, which are not susceptible to keylogging. This adds an additional layer of authentication that is both user-friendly and resistant to data capture by malicious software. The integration of these two systems creates a multi-layered defense strategy. The dual-keypad mechanism reduces the risk of compromised keystrokes, while the visual authentication process ensures that even if keystrokes are captured, the authentication remains secure. The project aims to deliver a robust, secure, and intuitive authentication solution that enhances protection against keylogging and other cyber threats, providing a reliable means of securing sensitive information in various applications. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects children's ability to communicate, socialize, and engage in learning activities. This project presents the development of a user-friendly web application designed to support children with autism through interactive and educational features tailored to their needs. The application incorporates visual aids, gamified learning modules, speech and text-based communication tools, and progress tracking features. It is developed using modern web technologies to ensure accessibility across devices and ease of use for both children and caregivers. By integrating psychological (...) and pedagogical insights, the application provides personalized learning paths. These paths adjust based on user interaction and progress, helping reinforce positive behavior and learning outcomes. Tools for emotion recognition and routine scheduling are also embedded to support emotional development and daily structure. Parents, educators, and therapists can monitor the child’s activities and performance through a dedicated dashboard, enabling informed decisions and personalized interventions. The system emphasizes security, privacy, and adaptability, ensuring a safe digital environment. The development followed a user-centered approach, involving feedback from parents and specialists during design and testing phases. The outcome is a holistic support system that addresses both educational and emotional needs. The project not only aids autistic children in learning but also empowers their support systems, paving the way for inclusive digital education. Humans have an innate desire for answers, believing that every question must have a definitive solution. However, not all answers are absolute—some are shaped by perception, context, and circumstance. This paper explores the tension between absolutism—the belief that objective truths exist independently of interpretation—and relativism, which argues that truth is shaped by perspective. While mathematical and scientific principles seem to offer fixed truths, human experiences, ethics, and philosophical dilemmas resist universal solutions. This paper posits a middle-ground theory, asserting that while (...) everything has an answer, not all answers are universal. Context dictates truth, making certainty an illusion and adaptability a necessary intellectual skill. The syllables and series of sounds composing Gayatri Mantra, and the sense and meaning attached to them are analyzed using Upanishadic Wisdom, Advaitha Philosophy and Sabdabrahma Siddhanta. The physical structure of mind as revealed by this analysis is presented. An insight of various phases of mind, their rise and set, their significance and implications to cognitive sciences and natural language comprehension branch of artificial intelligence are discussed. This chapter explores the anti-colonial narrative potential of certain works of cinema taking Aguirre, the Wrath of God and Caché as a case in point. To do so, this chapter first and mainly draws upon the theoretical and normative lens put forward by Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak on the representation of the colonized other and her resulting political and intellectual call for self-reflection on one's privileged Western intellectual positioning. This lens has many normative implications for the ways in which the (...) colonized subject and colonial history are discussed and represented. The partial lack of representation of the colonized other in Aguirre, the Wrath of God leaves the subjectivity of the colonizer in crisis and madness. Second, the narrative of Caché is explored and it is suggested that it resembles the rhetoric of Foucauldian disciplinary power of surveillance turned upside-down thus enforcing the complicit of colonialism to question her privilege.
