    У статті проаналізовано потенціал використання інституційного підходу до аналізу ціннісного обґрунтування участі основних університетських спільнот у забезпеченні функціонування і розвитку сучасного університету. Виявлено регулятивне значення академічних цінностей та їхню неспроможність пояснити ціннісну структуру кожної з конкретних університетських спільнот зокрема. Запропоновано розробляти релятивні моделі таких фактичних ціннісних структур у рамках смислового горизонту, який задають контр фактичні академічні цінності.
