  1. Employees as Conduits for Effective Stakeholder Engagement: An Example from B Corporations.Anne-Laure P. Winkler, Jill A. Brown & David L. Finegold - 2018 - Journal of Business Ethics 160 (4):913-936.
Is there a link between how a firm manages its internal and external stakeholders? More specifically, are firms that give employees stock ownership and more say in running the enterprise more likely to engage with external stakeholders? This study seeks to answer these questions by elaborating on mechanisms that link employees to external stakeholders, such as the community, suppliers, and the environment. It tests these relationships using a sample of 347 private, mostly small-to-medium size firms, which completed a stakeholder impact (...)

  • Compromising in bifocal distribution games: the average value.Pedro Gadea-Blanco, José-Manuel Giménez-Gómez & M. Carmen Marco-Gil - 2016 - Theory and Decision 81 (3):449-465.
It is well known that, in distributions problems, fairness rarely leads to a single viewpoint. In this context, this paper provides interesting bases that support the simple and commonly observed behavior of reaching intermediate agreements when two prominent distribution proposals highlight a discrepancy in sharing resources. Specifically, we formalize such a conflicting situation by associating it with a ‘natural’ cooperative game, called bifocal distribution game, to show that both the Nucleolus and the Shapley value agree on recommending the average of (...)

After a brief introduction to the history of the Husserl Archives I focus on the methodological specificities in studying Husserl’s work on the basis of his manuscripts and of his archives. In a second step I expound on the effects that the current shift from an analogous to a hybrid analogous and digital archives is producing in the self-understanding of the practices of our institution. Particularly, developing digital technology means that the Husserl Archives are entering a new phase in respect (...)
