Trata-se, no presente artigo, de tentar lançar uma nova luz sobre a relação entre música e linguagem a partir dos Escritos musicaisde Th. W. Adorno e, em especial, a partir do “Fragmentosobre música e linguagem”, que abre a coletânea Quasi una fantasia. Levando em conta a singularidade da compreensão adorniana acerca do desenvolvimento do moderno material musical, esperamos, ademais, levantar uma hipótese de interpretação aparentemente estranha à cautela crítica de Adorno frente à confluência impensada entre a música e outros regimes (...) artísticos – por ele denominada, na Filosofia da nova música, “pseudomorfose” -, contextualizando, com isso, o tom radical das apreciações condenatórias a esse respeito. Para tanto, iremos igualmente nos valer de suas considerações acerca do assim chamado impressionismo musical e, em particular, de uma canção de Debussy. (shrink)

The state of recent as well as older research on social ontology suggests a paradigmatic approach, according to which it is our consciousness that must provide the framework for conceptualising the social. I, however, argue that Wittgenstein’s treatment of rule-following opens up a new horizon for the ontology of the social. The fact that the rules of our language are social in nature and that we need not be aware of them in order to follow them shifts the problem to (...) what lies behind consciousness. The ontological conceptualisation of the social must focus on our implicit knowledge instead, which is always an enabling condition for our consciousness: for we share some of this implicit knowledge with others, as can be seen from Wittgenstein and the case of language. In der Einführung präsentiert der Artikel, basierend auf dem Werk von Michael Devitt, die widerstreitenden ontologischen Positionen des Realismus und Konstruktivismus. Ersterer besteht auf der Unabhängigkeit der Beschaffenheit der Welt von unserem begrifflichen Apparat, der Sprache oder wissenschaftlichen Theorien, während der andere eine solche Abhängigkeit affirmiert. Der Hauptteil des Artikels versucht darauf hinzuweisen, dass der Realismus-/Konstruktivismusstreit unlösbar ist, und zwar wird das durch ein Gedankenexperiment gemacht, dem die Widerlegung von Argumenten der Hauptkonstruktivisten und Hauptrealisten folgt. Die Ansichten von Hilary Putnam (...) werden auch kurz berücksichtigt und zurückgewiesen. Im Schlussteil wird, teilweise unter Rückgriff auf die Argumente Carnaps, behauptet, dass der Streit nicht aufgelöst werden kann, dass er eine Art kantischer Antinomie ist und dass es deswegen eine Entscheidungssache ist, ob man ein Realist oder ein Konstruktivist ist. Im Laufe des Artikels wird auch eine Ansicht zum Wesen der Philosophie dargelegt. (shrink)

Me propongo mostrar que tanto la naturalización, ahora también en versión neurológica, como la tecnologización contemporáneas son fruto de interpretaciones que pretenden ofrecer una nueva imagen del hombre, por ejemplo, a través de fórmulas como la de «homo poieticus». Pero la cuestión decisiva es ver si a partir de estas nuevas imágenes se puede reconstruir la realidad personal, manteniendo las pretensiones expresadas mediante el valor de dignidad de la persona humana o quedan realmente sustituidas por otras que rebasan el sentido (...) humanizador, por el que desde diversas tradiciones nos comprendemos e intentamos mejorar la vida humana. A tal efecto, quisiera aprovechar no sólo el siempre fecundo pensamiento aristotélico, sino también el kantiano y nietzscheano, en versión hermenéutica, y su enlace con la tradición de la filosofía española de Ortega, Zubiri y Laín, porque creo que ofrecen una base adecuada para incorporar y articular los nuevos conocimientos neurocientíficos y las propuestas de intervención tecnocientíficas. The article treats the problem of interpretation in its respect to reality by example of Umberto Eco’s moderate ‚realistic‘ position and his criticism of Friedrich Nietzsche, the “father” of postmodernism. Here the strongest arguments on both sides are evaluated: Eco’s “negative realism” pointing out the impossibility of some interpretations and Nietzsche’s thinking out the absolute absence of a privileged position proceeding from which it would be possible to unequivocally identify what is real. The article argues that the crucial point why (...) some interpretations may prove to be stronger or weaker is best described in terms of the concept of power. One however should avoid misconceptions, since power itself is interpretation which nevertheless allows for the gradation of reality, the mobility of its horizons, their shifting and even their potential availability. A much-disputed question of prehistoric times as well as that of death as a limit of interpretability is inter alia included in the analysis. Both classical anti-realistic positions, such as that of Wittgenstein, and the argumentation of contemporary advocates of realism, such as Quentin Meillassoux, are taken into consideration. (shrink)
