  1. Between Foucault and Agamben: An Overview of the Problem of Euthanasia in the context of Biopolitics.Gürhan Özpolat - 2017 - Beytulhikme An International Journal of Philosophy 7 (2):15-31.

Jose Antonio Cerrillo Vidal - 2020 - Recerca.Revista de Pensament I Anàlisi 25 (2).
The concept of assisted death includes a heterogeneous variety of practices, whose common denominator is to guarantee citizens their right to participate in decisions related to their own death process, to make it as consistent with their preferences as possible. It’s one of the most controversial and discussed topics in recent decades, both in the academic field and in public opinion. This paper examines the two main justifications for its legalization: to guarantee individual autonomy as in other areas of life, (...)

  • Techniques to Pass on: Technology and Euthanasia.Brian Martin - 2010 - Bulletin of Science, Technology and Society 30 (1):54-59.
Proponents and opponents of euthanasia have argued passionately about whether it should be legalized. In Australia in the mid-1990s, following the world’s first legal euthanasia deaths, Dr. Philip Nitschke initiated a different approach: a search for do-it-yourself technological means of dying with dignity. The Australian government has opposed this effort, especially through heavy censorship. The citizen efforts led by Nitschke have the potential to move the euthanasia issue from a debate about legalization to a struggle over technology.
