  • Can Corporations Care?Tomsons Kira - unknown
    This paper is part of a larger project of developing a new narrative for talking about business activity. Feminist approaches to social life have traditionally been explicitly about changing the narrative, and I believe that a feminist approach to ethics, namely the ethics of care, can help provide the foundation for a new narrative within business and business ethics.

This article strives to explain why organizational theorists should abandon the pursuit of "Who and What Really Counts" to challenge the assumption of a managerial perspective that defines stakeholder legitimacy.     In the biblical Book of Ruth, Boaz instructs his workers not to molest Ruth. We draw insights on the problem of workplace sexual harassment in the family-firm setting from the Book of Ruth. We then integrate these insights with several discrete findings in the literatures on workplace sexual harassment and family firms: First, family firms are relatively strong when it comes to a culture of fairness and respect.   • Self-Authorship through Mutual Benefit: Toward a Liberal Theory of the Virtues in Business.Caleb Bernacchio - forthcoming - Business Ethics Quarterly:1-30.
    This article develops a liberal theory of the virtues in business. I first articulate two key liberal values embodied within market society: self-authorship and mutual benefit. Self-authorship is a mode of autonomy given expression through the effective exercise of economic liberties. Mutual benefit involves the intentional pursuit of the well-being of one’s transaction partners within economic exchange.
