  1. Kant's Critique of Pure Reason and the Method of Metaphysics.Gabriele Gava - 2023 - Cambridge: Cambridge University Press.
In two often neglected passages of the Critique of Pure Reason, Kant submits that the Critique is a 'treatise' or a 'doctrine of method'. These passages are puzzling because the Critique is only cursorily concerned with identifying adequate procedures of argument for philosophy. In this book, Gabriele Gava argues that these passages point out that the Critique is the doctrine of method of metaphysics. Doctrines of method have the task of showing that a given science is indeed a science because (...)

  • Zu Eckart Försters Die 25 Jahre der Philosophie. Eine systematische Rekonstruktion. [REVIEW]Reinhard Brandt - 2013 - Kant Studien 104 (3):367-385.
: Although Eckart Förster’s work contains many advanced scholarly accounts, it also has weaknesses. As Förster’s central attempt to make Goethe a Spinozan unfortunately ended in failure, we must recur to previous research. The same holds for several of the interpretations of Kant.

  • Is Kant (W)right? – On Kant’s Regulative Ideas and Wright’s Entitlements.Jochen Briesen - 2013 - Kant-Yearbook 5 (1):1-32.
This paper discusses a structural analogy between Kant’s theory of regulative ideas, as he develops it in the Appendix to the Transcendental Dialectic, and Crispin Wright’s theory of epistemic entitlements. First, I argue that certain exegetical difficulties with respect to the Appendix rest on serious systematic problems, which – given other assumptions of the Critique of Pure Reason – Kant is unable to solve. Second, I argue that because of the identified structural analogy between Kant’s and Wright’s views the project (...)

  • Kant’s Theory of Normativity: Exploring the Space of Reason.Konstantin Pollok - 2017 - New York: Cambridge University Press.
Konstantin Pollok offers the first book-length analysis of Kant's theory of normativity that covers foundational issues in theoretical and practical philosophy as well as aesthetics. Interpreting Kant's 'critical turn' as a normative turn, he argues that Kant's theory of normativity is both original and radical: it departs from the perfectionist ideal of early modern rationalism, and arrives at an unprecedented framework of synthetic a priori principles that determine the validity of our judgments. Pollok examines the hylomorphism in Kant's theory of (...)

  • Sinnlichkeit und Verstand: Zur transzendentallogischen Entfaltung des Gegenstandsbezugs bei Kant.Konrad Vorderobermeier - 2012 - De Gruyter.
For Kant, sensibility and reason are the two cornerstones for all knowledge that is possible for us. The question of their mediation has occupied Kant researchers ever since the publication of the Critique of Pure Reason. By analyzing the most important theoretical elements of the critique of reason, the author offers a new approach for evaluating the argumentation of Kant's transcendental logic. scendental logic.

  • Aspekte des Selbstbewusstseins Bei Kant: Identität, Einheit Und Existenz.Xi Luo - 2019 - J.B. Metzler.
