  1. Between history and system. Heinrich Rickert’s concept of culture.Giovanni Morrone - 2022 - Filozofija I Društvo 33 (2):349-369.
The paper reconstructs the concept of culture that emerges from Heinrich Rickert?s neo-Kantianism, uncovering its major historical-problematic, methodological, and philosophical implications. The central theme of the first section is the idea that modern culture is uniquely characterized by?fragmentation?. It also unpacks the programme of Rickert?s philosophy of culture, which pursues the task of reconstructing the lost unity of culture. The second section explains the methodological implications of the problematic relationship between value and reality established in cultural goods and evaluations. Finally, (...)

  • The Relationship Between the Individual and the Collective in the Social Philosophy of Georges Gurvitch.Mikhail Yu Zagirnyak - 2023 - Kantian Journal 42 (4):112-132.

  • The Role of Umwelt in Husserl’s Aufbau and Abbau of the Natur/Geist Distinction.Adam Konopka - 2009 - Human Studies 32 (3):313 - 333.
In this essay I argue that Husserl’s development of the nineteenth century Natur/Geist distinction is grounded in the intentional correlate between the pre-theoretical natural attitude and environing world ( Umwelt ). By reconsidering the Natur/Geist distinction through its historical context in the nineteenth century debate between Wilhelm Dilthey and the Neo-Kantians from the Baden or Southwest school, it is possible to understand more clearly Husserl’s appropriations and novel contributions. One of Husserl’s contributions lies in his rigorous thematization and clarification of (...)

  • Od Fichtego do Kanta i z powrotem. Kilka uwag o Marka J. Siemka idei transcendentalizmu.Wojciech Hanuszkiewicz - 2018 - Argument: Biannual Philosophical Journal 8 (2).
From Fichte to Kant and back. Several considerations on Marek J. Siemek’s concept of transcendentalism: The basic interpretation claim presented in Marek J. Siemek’s book is that Kant created a completely new level of philosophical reflection, for which the epistemological question remains characteristic. This question — in contrast to the epistemic questions posed before Kant — neither solely focuses on the problem of the ontic structure of the reality nor it does on the cognitive conditions which enable a subject to (...)
