    This article reconstructs Gilles Deleuze’s engagement with phenomenology, and with the phenomenological problematic of sensation, in his Francis Bacon: The Logic of Sensation.     This paper explores how phenomenological notions of rhythm might accommodate a richer description of preverbal infant-caregiver dialogue.
