  1. (1 other version)Business ethics in the curriculum: Integrating ethics through work experience. [REVIEW]Mary Hartog & Philip Frame - 2004 - Journal of Business Ethics 54 (4):399 - 409.
In this paper we seek to make the case for a teaching and learning strategy that integrates business ethics in the curriculum, whilst not precluding a disciplines based approach to this subject. We do this in the context of specific work experience modules at undergraduate level which are offered by Middlesex University Business School, part of a modern university based in North West London. We firstly outline our educative values and then the modules that form the basis of our research. (...)

  • Phenomenological Reflections on the Structure of Transformation: The example of Sustainable Agriculture.Elizabeth A. Behnke - 2021 - Investigaciones Fenomenológicas 7:451.
This essay will move toward a phenomenology of “more” in ten steps. 1st, situates the investigation within the tradition of Husserlian phenomenological practice, then 2nd draws upon Husserl’s own experience of doing phenomenology. 3rd considers some initial aspects of the structure of the lived experience of “more” and 4th is about the number series, while 5th addresses the primal experience of time, space, and movement. 6th focuses on the phenomenological notion of horizons, then 7th turns to the related question of (...)

Historians of philosophy commonly regard as antipodal Bertrand Russell and Edmund Husserl, the founding fathers of analytic philosophy and phenomenology. This paper, however, establishes that during a formative phase in both of their careers Russell and Husserl shared a range of seminal ideas. In particular, the essay adduces clear cases of family resemblance between Husserl’s and Russell’s philosophy during their middle period, which spanned the years 1905 through 1918. The paper thus challenges the received view of Husserl’s relation to early (...)

  • Husserl und der Buddhismus.Liangkang Ni - 2011 - Husserl Studies 27 (2):143-160.

  • Deliberative Democracy and the Problem of the Commons.Juan Nascimbene - 2016 - Revista Latinoamericana de Filosofía Política 5 (1).
Following Hardin’s paper of “The tragedy of the commons”, it has been traditionally sustained that the government should manage public good resources since their private management would lead to their depletion. However, Elinor Ostrom has challenged this account by identifying a specific type of Common-pool resources that, under circumstances of trust and fluid communication between the parties involved, can be efficiently managed by groups of individuals. In this context, it is this paper’s contention that the postulates of deliberative democracy are (...)
