  1. The return of the intolerant Hobbes.Boleslaw Z. Kabala - 2019 - History of European Ideas 45 (6):785-802.
Thomas Hobbes in Leviathan presented a paradigm of the social contract that has proven foundational in Western political thought. A proper understanding of the philosopher’s thought is thus of paramount importance. I argue that today’s case for a religiously tolerant Hobbes has missed an important part of the historical record. • Multiple Levels of Analysis and the Limitations of Methodological Individualisms.Ronald Jepperson & John W. Meyer - 2011 - Sociological Theory 29 (1):54 - 73.

Our alternative exposition renders the discussion of (...)

The Weber thesis on a hypothetical imprint of Protestantism in the «spirit» of capitalism has been widely spread. Not willing to discredit his proposal, the truth is that, being falsifiable with difficulty, some careless wordings have been derived from it claiming to explain the present economical circumstances through differential religious facts. Being religion an unparalleled all covering feature, such circumstances depend on many factors. It has been claimed some scientific status through the most diverse socioeconomic data. This is something also (...)
