  • Ecofeminism meets business: A comparison of ecofeminist, corporate, and free market ideologies. [REVIEW]Chris Crittenden - 2000 - Journal of Business Ethics 24 (1):51 - 63.
This paper develops a psychological and ethical ecofeminist position and then compares ecofeminism to corporate and free market capitalism in terms of effects along four scales of well-being: democracy/human rights, environmental health, psychological health, and cruelty toward animals. Using aspects of symbolic interactionism and Antony Weston's self-validating reduction model, it is demonstrated that an ecofeminist belief system tends to promote moral and psychological health whereas the discussed forms of capitalistic thinking militate in the other direction. Ecofeminism is not, however, incompatible (...)

  • Enacting Ecological Sustainability in the MNC: A Test of an Adapted Value-Belief-Norm Framework.Lynne Andersson, Sridevi Shivarajan & Gary Blau - 2005 - Journal of Business Ethics 59 (3):295-305.

  • Management-science and business-ethics.Alan E. Singer & M. S. Singer - 1997 - Journal of Business Ethics 16 (4):385-395.
Many leading management scientists have advocated ethicalism: the incorporation of social and ethical concerns into traditional "rational" OR-MS techniques and management decisions. In fact, elementary forms of decision analysis can readily be augmented, using ethical theory, in ways that sweep in ethical issues. In addition, alternative conceptual models of Decision-Analysis, Game-Theory and Optimality are now available, all of which have brought OR-MS and Business-Ethics into a closer alignment.

  • Reflections on business decision-making: Time for a paradigm shift? [REVIEW]Martin Kelly & Graham Oliver - 2003 - Journal of Academic Ethics 1 (2):199-215.
Over the past few decades the pace of change in the business environment has been rapid, as the effects of electronic innovations and the acceptance of the globalisation mind-set have occurred. Communism has collapsed and the power of corporations has grown in the global community that has developed. It has become imperative that business decision-makers become aware that their decisions may limit the choices of future generations by irretrievably destroying the currently existing physical and social environment. Decision-making in today's business (...)
