  1. The whole and the art of medical dialectic: a platonic account. [REVIEW]Jan Helge Solbakk - 2014 - Medicine, Health Care and Philosophy 17 (1):39-52.
The aim of this paper is to investigate Plato’s conception of the whole in the Phaedrus and the theory of medical dialectic underlying this conception. • Women’s equality in Northern Ireland’s transition: intersectionality in theory and place. [REVIEW]Eilish Rooney - 2006 - Feminist Legal Studies 14 (3):353-375.

Feminist intersectional theory counters and complicates essentialist constructions of identity. It aids understanding of the Northern Irish context by bringing into view issues of gender, sect and class. The tentative intersectional theoretical framework developed in this article is tested in an empirical study (...)

Advances in the life sciences are occurring with extreme rapidity and accumulating a great deal of knowledge about life’s vital processes. While this knowledge is essential for fighting disease in a more effective way, it can also be misused either intentionally or inadvertently to develop novel and more effective biological weapons. For nearly a decade civil-academic society as well as States Parties to the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention have recognised the importance of dual-use biosecurity education for life scientists as (...)
