The paper aims to explain how Paul Ricœur’s phenomenological and hermeneutic approach offers an original theory of the self as self-attestation. Considering useful an approach that combines the psychological uses of the notion of self with a reflection on one’s capacity to design himself/herself as a person, the paper offers a thorough analysis of Ricœur’s work Soi-même comme un autre / Oneself as Another. The main purpose of this analysis is to highlight that, drawing a clear distinction between two forms (...) of identity (la mêmeté/sameness and l’ipséité/selfhood) and proposing a dialectic between the self and the other, Ricœur grounds his theory on a notion of self which includes one’s acceptance of the other. Mediation is a particular type of communicative action that generates professional socialization and normative adherence. In this paper we are interested in communication strategies and how to obtain interpretative consensus in the process of mediation. The analysis of identified communicational strategies as mediation principles will allow us to develop a model of construction of a new communicational paradigm that places gaining mutual consent in the process of communication mediated by a third party – the mediator, whose function is to reconfigure (...) the interpretative maps regarding the object of the conflict. This process takes the form of a partnership based on the symmetrisation of communicational relationships. In this paper we will discuss mediation as facilitative practice, transformational mediation, narrative mediation and appreciative mediation. Regarding the appreciative mediation, we will propose a creative model of solving conflicts starting from the elements of success of the parts in reframing conflicting elements into transformational elements. We build the appreciative mediation starting from the perspective of an appreciative social semiotics. (shrink)

An ageing population and increased life expectancy are a characteristic of the Western world. Nevertheless, as Roger Fontaine writes, “although we should be glad about this fact, it should also be stressed that old age reveals profound discrepancies between individuals. In fact, we should not speak of ‘old age’ but ‘old ages’. Specialists make a distinction between normal old age, successful old age, and pathological old age.”Catherine Guchet points out that, at the end of the twentieth century, two images of (...) old age coexist, utilitarian in conception: that of ‘flamboyant’ old age and that of ‘dependent’ old age. The latter is associated with a loss of autonomy and dignity, especially for subjects affected by senile dementia, described as ‘unconscious’. While reflexivity is seen as a not-to-be-missed concept in professional training, references to design pedagogical devices to enhance actors’ reflective capacities on their professional situations and to foster their professional and personal development are scarce and embedded in a patchwork of theoretical and practical approaches. As designers of such devices in agricultural higher education, our practical experiences, theoretical background and discussions led us to build a model of reflexivity as five intertwined key dimensions. These dimensions deal with aspects of reflexivity (...) that it is possible to work on directly with learners by using appropriate scaffolding methods, which we describe and illustrate in this paper, referring to our teaching experiences. Two dimensions of the model are particularly relevant for people who are not familiar with reflexivity, and sometimes reluctant to practice it. (shrink)

Résumé L’évaluation est de toutes les sociétés et de tous les temps. Pourtant, ce terme usuel hante le monde contemporain, il suscite les plus vives réactions. Évaluation et notation sont liées, et les agences de notation pèsent sur la politique des États, non pas seulement sur les firmes cotées en Bourse. L’évaluation est-elle nécessaire? De fait, elle situe les sociétés contemporaines entre perversion et sublimation.

Cet article présente le dispositif de formation et ses objectifs ainsi que l’analyse d’écrits réflexifs produits dans le cadre des travaux certificatifs et dans lesquels les participantes décrivent quelques-uns des effets de la formation sur leurs pratiques professionnelles.
