  1. Denial of coevalness: charges of dogmatism in the nineteenth-century humanities.Herman Paul & Caroline Schep - 2022 - History of European Ideas 48 (6):778-794.
ABSTRACT Since the seventeenth century, scholars have been accusing each other of ‘dogmatism’. But what exactly did this mean? While generalizing and making critique unavoidable, Kant coins an unambiguously positive understanding of critique as an affirmative, immanent activity. Not only does this positive conception prevail in the (...)
