Este artículo indaga en la construcción de una estética en la filosofía de Gilles Deleuze más allá del período en su obra donde el arte posee una atención privilegiada. Para Deleuze, la estética no significa simplemente una zona disciplinar de la filosofía: la desarrolla desde sus primeros trabajos hasta Différence et répétition y Logique du sens. Conceptos como el de génesis, signo o fuerzas, entre otros, predominan en su trabajo de los años sesenta y sostienen una relectura del empirismo -“empirismo (...) trascendental”- que enunció como una estética. La impronta metafísica de estos problemas será retomada en sus escritos de los años ochenta en que el arte comparece de manera más directa. (shrink)

Treatments of the status of mercenary arms in Machiavelli typically concentrate on Machiavelli’s discussions of the theme of the ‘arms of others’ in chapters XII and XIII of the Prince. Generally they place special importance on the exaggerated disdain Machiavelli voices for mercenary arms, sometimes entirely passing over the related issue of auxiliaries, and sometimes grouping this issue together with Machiavelli’s treatment of mercenaries as constituting essentially the same issue – the arms of others. Further, though the importance of this (...) distinction between one’s own arms and the arms of others in Machiavelli is nearly universally recognized by commentators, the distinction receives unequal treatment. Commentators tend to place great emphasis on the theme and implications of ‘having one’s own arms’ while either adopting Machiavelli’s criticism of mercenary and auxiliary arms verbatim or simply passing over this related issue. As a result, no sustained analyses of Machiavelli’s reasoning on the arms of ‘others’ have appeared. This article addresses that gap. (shrink)

Nos proponemos como objetivo dar algunas aproximaciones a lo que se podría entender como una estética deleuzeana. Sin embargo, no la formularemos como una zona particular de su filosofía o como un saber regional de la misma, sino que el pensamiento de Deleuze desde sus comienzas está planteado como una estética. Esto lo trataremos de desarrollar a partir de su trabajo en torno a la doctrina empirista, y como en su primera época, comienza a formular un singular empirismo que coronará (...) en Diferencia y repetición como un “empirismo trascendental”. De este modo, recorremos sus trabajos sobre Hume, Bergson, Nietzsche y Kant, y cómo Deleuze con su trabajo más riguroso en torno a la historia de la filosofía, en Diferencia y repetición como en Lógica del sentido, acuña su propio pensamiento.
