  1. SCHELLING's SHADOW: merleau-ponty’s late concept of nature.Alexander Bilda - 2016 - Angelaki 21 (4):111-120.
Merleau-Ponty’s later works, especially his 1956–57 lectures on Nature, offer a unique interpretation of Schelling’s philosophy as a whole. His systematic approach towards Schelling enables him to neglect the division of Schelling’s works into an early and a late period. Although his work on Schelling is not fully accurate with respect to the historic details, Merleau-Ponty succeeds in illuminating problems in Schelling’s philosophy that Schelling himself could not solve. The main thesis of my essay is that the two philosophers follow (...)

The author of the article framed the question of the possible relevance of the treatment of the Schelling's philosophy in the context of a phenomenological one. Thereby, he points its problematic character, referencing Husserl's treatment of German idealism after Kant (including the thought of Schelling) as the romantic idealism. At the same time, he also states the influence of Schelling on the few phenomenologists who made their careers after Husserl. The article's author reviews the concept of the «being outside-itself» or (...)

This publication is the translation of the first fragment of F. W. J Schelling's Presentation of Philosophical Empiricism accompanied by the analytical translator's preface. In his treatise, Schelling assesses the history of modern philosophy. Namely, he treats it as history of experiments, the goal of which was in the search for the primary fact in the world. In Schelling's opinion, this fact is in the growing over-weight of the subjective over the objective. Only his philosophy of nature was able to (...)

  • A Philosophical Dialogue between Heidegger and Schelling.Lore HÜhn - 2014 - Comparative and Continental Philosophy 6 (1):16-34.
Since the seminal 1955 habilitation by Heidegger's pupil, Walter Schulz, it has become an open secret that Schelling's philosophy, more than that of any of the other German Idealists, is an immediate antecedent to Heidegger's thought. For this reason, it is all the more fascinating that to this day research is still lopsidedly concerned with the interpretation of Heidegger's reading of Schelling's Freedom Essay and that a thorough and overarching investigation into the idealistic inheritance of Martin Heidegger's thought remains wanting. (...)

The aim of the present study is to rebuild the way in which Schelling's later philosophy –that which is represented by his reflection concerning mythology and rational foundations of revelation– describes the triple division of the Absolute in diverse potencies that takes place with the entry of God in temporality and becoming. The process that leads to such fragmentation of the divine is interpreted as a “formation novel” analogous to the odyssey that the finite conscience experiences as a result of (...)

  • „Nichts“ ir „Il y a“ problema kaip asmens tapatumo koreliatyvumas.Luc Anckaert - 2017 - Žmogus ir Žodis 19 (4).
Dialogo filosofijos mąstytojų Rosenzweig‘o ir Levino darbų esmė – mirties bedugnės ir asmens tapatumo santykis. Rosenzweig‘as niekį laiko galutiniu kantiškojo mąstymo tašku. Asmens tapatumas traktuojamas (...)
