  1. New British feminisms, UK Feminista and young women’s activism.Khursheed Wadia & Nickie Charles - 2018 - Feminist Theory 19 (2):165-181.
Over the past few years we have witnessed a sharp resurgence in feminist activism as young women have become increasingly interested in feminist ideas as a means of making sense of their lives. This resurgence in feminist practice is evidenced by the formation of myriad groups and networks across Britain and the initiation of various feminist projects and campaigns, reported regularly and widely in local and national media. This article examines the renaissance of this new feminism through the example of (...)

  • Evolutionary Ethics.Michael Klenk - 2019 - Introduction to Philosophy: Ethics.
This chapter first introduces naturalistic approaches to ethics more generally and distinguishes methodological ethical naturalism (the focus of this chapter), from metaphysical ethical naturalism. • Postcolonial Feminism, The Politics of Identification, and the Liberal Bargain.Amalia Sa’ar - 2005 - Gender and Society 19 (5):680-700.
The article focuses on the complex positioning of people from disempowered backgrounds with respect to liberalism and liberal dividends. The author offers the term liberal bargain, paraphrasing Deniz Kandiyoti’s “patriarchal bargain” and Cynthia Cockburn’s “ethnic bargain,” and dwells on the interconnections between the three. The liberal bargain indicates the particular consciousness and symbolic whitening that “colorized” people tend to adopt when they attempt to cash in on the liberal promise. Within the discourse of postcolonial feminism, the concept is intended to (...)
