  1. Infinitary propositional relevant languages with absurdity.Guillermo Badia - 2017 - Review of Symbolic Logic 10 (4):663-681.
Analogues of Scott's isomorphism theorem, Karp's theorem as well as results on lack of compactness and strong completeness are established for infinitary propositional relevant logics. An "interpolation theorem" for the infinitary quantificational boolean logic L-infinity omega. holds. This yields a preservation result characterizing the expressive power of infinitary relevant languages with absurdity using the model-theoretic relation of relevant directed bisimulation as well as a Beth definability property.

  • Representing any-time and program-iteration by infinitary conjunction.Norihiro Kamide - 2013 - Journal of Applied Non-Classical Logics 23 (3):284 - 298.
Two new infinitary modal logics are simply obtained from a Gentzen-type sequent calculus for infinitary logic by adding a next-time operator, and a program operator, respectively. It is shown that an any-time operator and a program-iteration operator can respectively be expressed using infinitary conjunction in these logics. The cut-elimination and completeness theorems for these logics are proved using some theorems for embedding these logics into (classical) infinitary logic.

  • Interpolation and Preservation in ${\cal M\kern-1pt L}{\omega1}$.Holger Sturm - 1998 - Notre Dame Journal of Formal Logic 39 (2):190-211.
In this paper we deal with the logic ${\cal M\kern-1pt L}_{\omega_1}$ which is the infinitary extension of propositional modal logic that has conjunctions and disjunctions only for countable sets of formulas. After introducing some basic concepts and tools from modal logic, we modify Makkai's generalization of the notion of consistency property to make it fit for modal purposes. Using this construction as a universal instrument, we prove, among other things, interpolation for ${\cal M\kern-1pt L}_{\omega_1}$ as well as preservation results for (...)
