    The explanation of inertia based on “Mach's principle” is briefly revisited and an experiment whereby the gravitational origin of inertia can be tested is described. The test consists of detecting a small stationary force with a sensitive force sensor.   • To Believe or Not Believe in the 4-Potential, That’s a Question. The Electric Helmholtz–Mikhailov Effect and its Magnetic Analog.O. Costa De Beauregard - 2004 - Foundations of Physics 34 (12):1923-1928.
    Helmholtz’ electrically induced extra mass inside a charged hollow sphere, recently evidenced by Mikhailov, is analogous to Mach’s inertial mass. Existence of a corresponding magnetically induced extra mass in an electron flying around an “autistic magnet” is derived. The overall electro-magnetic effect can be covariantly expressed.
