Abstract

In an age of rapid urbanization, achieving peace and mental relief in city environments can often feel out of reach. A recent Swiss study by García-Martín et al. (2025) addresses this concern by investigating how green spaces and road traffic noise influence psychological restoration—the process through which individuals recover from stress and mental fatigue.
