Abstract

The major themes that run through the book are focused on the general analysis of rights. Central to the rights issues discussed are the problems related to the liberal harm and offence principles as prima facie cases for the limitation of individual liberty of the members of the society. This book considered the liberal standpoint for the limitation of liberty as deficient for the protection of most rights of the members of the society especially groups such as cultural and religious groups and therefore argues for a more inclusive principle for the protection of such groups.
