Abstract

As climate change accelerates the rise of sea levels, both human communities and natural ecosystems are striving to adapt. However, according to Guzman (2025)’s review, well-intentioned efforts to safeguard people and property may inadvertently exacerbate the vulnerability of other actors—particularly coastal wetlands, which are among the most ecologically and economically valuable ecosystems on the planet.
