Abstract

The One That Is Both is a philosophical exploration of energy and matter, unity and duality, separateness and interconnectedness--disguised as fiction. It takes up cutting-edge topics in science, such as zero-point energy, and pushes them into metaphysics. It asks the question, what would life be like if we understood ourselves to be first and foremost energy beings rather than material beings--and then attempts to show an answer to that question. The One That Is Both intimates at a utopia without proclaiming to be utopian.
