A recent global study by Soga and Gaston (2025) illuminates a vital yet often underestimated facet of human life—our connection to nature. By surveying over 22,773 young adults across 23 diverse countries, the researchers uncovered substantial variations in how people relate to and engage with the natural world and, crucially, what factors shape these patterns.
