Photosynthesis, the fundamental process sustaining life on Earth, is facing unprecedented threats from two converging crises: microplastic pollution and climate change. These environmental stressors not only disrupt ecosystems but also jeopardize global food security, biodiversity, and the delicate balance of the planet’s carbon cycle.
