Abstract

Across East Africa, communities are facing an escalating threat from extreme water-related disasters. The region is increasingly caught between the dual challenges of devastating droughts and destructive floods, both of which are intensifying under a changing climate. The review of Taye & Dyer (2024) sheds light on how these hydrological extremes are evolving and the profound implications they hold for people and ecosystems.
