  1. Evil, Sin, and Christian Theism.Andrew Ter Ern Loke - 2022 - New York, NY: Routledge.
This book offers a compelling examination of the problem of evil and the doctrine of sin. It engages with and advances extant discussions on the topic by drawing together philosophical arguments, theological reflections, scientific evidence, Biblical exegesis, and real-life stories. The chapters provide a comprehensive evaluation of objections by anti-theodicists and atheists, and bring recent philosophical work concerning the arguments for Christian theism and advances in science and religion to bear on the discussion. • The significance of freedom in God’s plan.Andreas May - 2023 - HTS Theological Studies 79 (2):8.
By means of a synthesis of Christian faith, theology and natural sciences, the significance of freedom in God’s plan of creation and redemption was contemplated. Frankfurt examples are putative counterexamples to PAP. These examples feature a failsafe mechanism that ensures that some agent cannot refrain from doing what she does without intervening in how she conducts herself, thereby supposedly sustaining the upshot that she is responsible for her behavior despite not being able to do otherwise. I introduce a Frankfurt example in (...)

  • Time Has Gone Today.Frank Piontek - 2019 - International Journal of Theology, Philosophy and Science 3 (5):69-78.
This essay proposes to address features of Time in Science and Philosophy then emphasize those findings in reference to Philosophical Theology, predominately in Theodicy. Those disciplines all have produced a number of longstanding and contrasting viewpoints regarding Time. Positions will be presented to emphasize incongruent standpoints in those disciplines to substantiate the concept that a new Philosophy of Time is needed and how that thinking impacts our understanding of the problem of evil or Theodicy. The predominant linear view of time (...)
