  1. Relational EPR.Matteo Smerlak & Carlo Rovelli - 2007 - Foundations of Physics 37 (3):427-445.
We study the EPR-type correlations from the perspective of the relational interpretation of quantum mechanics. We argue that these correlations do not entail any form of “non-locality”, when viewed in the context of this interpretation. The abandonment of strict Einstein realism implied by the relational stance permits to reconcile quantum mechanics, completeness, (operationally defined) separability, and locality.

  • The concept of measurement and time symmetry in quantum mechanics.M. Bitbol - 1988 - Philosophy of Science 55 (3):349-375.
The formal time symmetry of the quantum measurement process is extensively discussed. Then, the origin of the alleged association between a fixed temporal direction and quantum measurements is investigated. It is shown that some features of such an association might arise from epistemological rather than purely physical assumptions. In particular, it is brought out that a sequence of statements bearing on quantum measurements may display intrinsic asymmetric properties, irrespective of the location of corresponding measurements in time t of the Schrodinger (...)

  • Microphysical nonseparability and relativistic signals.Daniel Evrard & Francçois Thieffine - 1988 - Foundations of Physics 18 (5):575-583.
Bell's proof and recent experiments sugested by it raised questions concerning the existence of supraluminal influences and the status of these with respect to Einstein's theory of relativity. These questions are briefly examined via an approach which is independent of any model. This approach generates a clear distinction between information perceivable by an observer, which is found to be transmited with infraluminal speed and influences acting inside the microphenomena. An informational treatment gives a quantitative indication concerning acting information.

  • The wave-particle dualism in 1992: A summary. [REVIEW]Marie-Christine Combourieu & Helmut Rauch - 1992 - Foundations of Physics 22 (12):1403-1434.
We review the past and present theoretical and experimental situations relating to wave-particle dualism. New tests aimed at enlightening the individual behavior as awave, then as aparticle, of asingle quantum mechanical system in the same experimental run are presented. The related epistemological, philosophical, and historical backgrounds are presented in a twofold exposition taking into account thepositivistic standard Copenhagen interpretation as well as therealist de Broglian point of view.
