    Several legal arguments use the notion of ratio legis in order to sustain a normative conclusion, in particular the argument from analogy and some forms of teleological argumentation.     Constitutivism argues that the source of the categorical force of the norms of rationality and morality lies in the constitutive features of agency. In this paper I attempt to understand how it is that moral disagreement is supposed to present a problem for metaethical realism.     This paper describes and defends a novel and distinctively egalitarian conception of the rule of law. Official behavior is to be governed by preexisting, public rules that do not draw irrelevant distinctions between the subjects of law.
