    This paper reexamines Kierkegaard's work with respect to the question whether truth is one or many. I argue that his famous distinction between objective and subjective truth is grounded in a unitary conception of truth as such: truth as self-coincidence.     This paper is a contribution to a discussion in philosophy of technology by focusing on the epistemological status of the example. Of the various developments in the emerging, inchoate field of philosophy of technology, the “empirical turn” stands out as having left the most enduring mark on the trajectory contemporary research takes.     In this paper I claim that Heidegger exposes himself to phenomenological vulnerability in his encounter with Jünger’s reflections upon nihilism. Jünger insists in the essay “Over the Line” on the necessity of the alternative to nihilism because nihilism reveals itself as an existential global threat. Heidegger challenges Jünger’s suggestion, proposing that one’s alternative to nihilism needs to take into account one’s fundamental complicity in its global domination.
