Abstract

Abstract:This article presents the course of the research group The discourse at the frontiers of the social: different signifying materialities and language technologies. In about 20 years, the group has discussed 'the social' in its constitutive differences as a commonthread, working on the theme of the resistance of subjects from various symbolic objects. From the perspective of Materialist Discourse Analysis, here we emphasize analyses that spotlight confronting meanings in our society, in coercive practices often normalized as necessary, marked by force relations that do not always show their symbolic violence. Este artigo apresenta o percurso do grupo de pesquisa O discurso nas fronteiras do social: diferentes materialidades significantes e tecnologias de linguagem. Num trajeto de quase 20 anos, o grupo tem como fio condutor a discussão do social em suas diferenças constitutivas, trabalhando a resistência do sujeito em objetos simbólicos diversos. Sob a perspectiva da Análise do Discurso Materialista, damos especial relevo, aqui, a análises que dão visibilidade a sentidos em confronto em nossa sociedade, em práticas coercitivas muitas vezes normalizadas como necessárias, marcadas por relações de força que nem sempre se mostram em sua violência simbólica.
