Abstract

Aquaculture—the farming of fish, shrimp, and other aquatic organisms—now accounts for nearly half of the world’s seafood supply, with countries such as China at the forefront. As the industry expands, so does the need for aquafeed, which is not only nutritious and cost-effective but also environmentally sustainable. At the heart of modern aquaculture’s success lies extrusion technology—an advanced method for producing high-performance aquatic feed.
