  • Algebraic Logic.Paul Richard Halmos - 2014 - New York, NY, USA: Chelsea.
2014 Reprint of 1962 Edition. Full facsimile of the original edition, not reproduced with Optical Recognition Software. In "Algebraic Logic" Halmos devised polyadic algebras, an algebraic version of first-order logic differing from the better known cylindric algebras of Alfred Tarski and his students. An elementary version of polyadic algebra is described in monadic Boolean algebra. This book addresses some of the problems of mathematical logic and the theory of polyadic Boolean algebras in particular. It is intended to be an efficient (...)

  • On monadic MV-algebras.Antonio Di Nola & Revaz Grigolia - 2004 - Annals of Pure and Applied Logic 128 (1-3):125-139.
We define and study monadic MV-algebras as pairs of MV-algebras one of which is a special case of relatively complete subalgebra named m-relatively complete. An m-relatively complete subalgebra determines a unique monadic operator. A necessary and sufficient condition is given for a subalgebra to be m-relatively complete. A description of the free cyclic monadic MV-algebra is also given.

  • On Some Categories of Involutive Centered Residuated Lattices.J. L. Castiglioni, M. Menni & M. Sagastume - 2008 - Studia Logica 90 (1):93-124.
Motivated by an old construction due to J. Kalman that relates distributive lattices and centered Kleene algebras we define the functor K • relating integral residuated lattices with 0 with certain involutive residuated lattices. Our work is also based on the results obtained by Cignoli about an adjunction between Heyting and Nelson algebras, which is an enrichment of the basic adjunction between lattices and Kleene algebras. The lifting of the functor to the category of residuated lattices leads us to study (...)
