  1. The case for integrated intelligence.Marcus Anthony - 2008 - World Futures 64 (4):233 – 253.
In this article I develop a case for a theory of intelligence incorporating transpersonal dimensions, namely integrated intelligence. Some recent expanded theories of intelligence move into concepts like creativity, wisdom, and emotional intelligence. Yet they remain embedded within mainstream intelligence theory and its reductionist and materialist presuppositions. Although various theorists in consciousness theory have developed transpersonal models that are beginning to be discussed in some mainstream circles, mainstream intelligence theory is yet to address the broader implications of this. Recent changes (...)

  • A planetary crisis of consciousness: The end of ego-based cultures and our dimensional shift toward a sustainable global civilization.Ashok K. Gangadean - 2006 - World Futures 62 (6):441 – 454.
This essay presents central themes from my forthcoming book, The Awakening of the Global Mind. This book seeks to open a new frontier of Global Consciousness that has been long emerging in human evolution through the ages. When we step back from our more localized perspectives and expand into a more integral, holistic, and global space through the awakening of the global mind we are able to discern striking mega-trends in cultural evolution across diverse cultural and religious worldviews and perspectives (...)

Richard Tarnas’s The Passion of the Western Mind —acclaimed by leading voices in philosophy, religion, psychology, and history—sets the stage for this major work, thirty years in the making, that dramatically reframes our understanding of the universe in the light of extraordinary new evidence. Cosmos and Psyche is the first book by a widely respected scholar to demonstrate the existence of a consistent correspondence between planetary movements and the unfolding drama of human history. A vast and impressive body of evidence (...)

  • Whither environmental psychology? The transpersonal ecopsychology crossroads.Joseph P. Reser - 1995 - Journal of Environmental Psychology 15 (3):235-257.
This paper considers the nature, status and direction of ‘ecopsychology’ and its relationship to psychology and environmental psychology. A brief historical perspective is provided, along with an examination of what is currently encompassed by the term, and by whom, with a particular focus on the writings of Roszak, 1992a, Roszak, 1992b. An attempt is made to separate social movement from changing social representation and to distinguish psychological content and focus from ideology, individual and societal change agenda, and popular culture. The (...)

By exploring principles found in psychology, math, physics, and shamanism, it becomes possible to link a cosmic perspective with ordinary life. This comprehensive work ventures into that challenging junction, journeying through the universe on paths of reason and magic, math and myth, bringing together humanity's traditional wisdom and shamanism with contemporary science.

Combining philosophical reflections with deep self-exploration to delve into the ancient mystery of death and rebirth, this book emphasizes collective rather than individual transformation. Drawing upon twenty years of experience working with nonordinary states, the author argues that when the deep psyche is hyper-simulated using Stanislaw Grof's powerful therapeutic methods, the healing that results sometimes extends beyond the individual to the collective unconscious of humanity itself.
