  1. On the lattice of quasivarieties of Sugihara algebras.W. J. Blok & W. Dziobiak - 1986 - Studia Logica 45 (3):275 - 280.
Let S denote the variety of Sugihara algebras. We prove that the lattice (K) of subquasivarieties of a given quasivariety K S is finite if and only if K is generated by a finite set of finite algebras. This settles a conjecture by Tokarz [6]. We also show that the lattice (S) is not modular.

  • An algebraic approach to subframe logics. Intuitionistic case.Guram Bezhanishvili & Silvio Ghilardi - 2007 - Annals of Pure and Applied Logic 147 (1):84-100.
We develop duality between nuclei on Heyting algebras and certain binary relations on Heyting spaces. We show that these binary relations are in 1–1 correspondence with subframes of Heyting spaces. We introduce the notions of nuclear and dense nuclear varieties of Heyting algebras, and prove that a variety of Heyting algebras is nuclear iff it is a subframe variety, and that it is dense nuclear iff it is a cofinal subframe variety. We give an alternative proof that every subframe variety (...)

  • Duality for algebras of relevant logics.Alasdair Urquhart - 1996 - Studia Logica 56 (1-2):263 - 276.
This paper defines a category of bounded distributive lattice-ordered grupoids with a left-residual operation that corresponds to a weak system in the family of relevant logics. Algebras corresponding to stronger systems are obtained by adding further postulates. A duality theoey piggy-backed on the Priestley duality theory for distributive lattices is developed for these algebras. The duality theory is then applied in providing characterizations of the dual spaces corresponding to stronger relevant logics.

  • Minimal Varieties of Involutive Residuated Lattices.Constantine Tsinakis & Annika M. Wille - 2006 - Studia Logica 83 (1-3):407-423.
We establish the existence uncountably many atoms in the subvariety lattice of the variety of involutive residuated lattices. The proof utilizes a construction used in the proof of the corresponding result for residuated lattices and is based on the fact that every residuated lattice with greatest element can be associated in a canonical way with an involutive residuated lattice.

  • On the representation of n4-lattices.Sergei P. Odintsov - 2004 - Studia Logica 76 (3):385 - 405.
N4-lattices provide algebraic semantics for the logic N4, the paraconsistent variant of Nelson's logic with strong negation. We obtain the representation of N4-lattices showing that the structure of an arbitrary N4-lattice is completely determined by a suitable implicative lattice with distinguished filter and ideal. We introduce also special filters on N4-lattices and prove that special filters are exactly kernels of homomorphisms. Criteria of embeddability and to be a homomorphic image are obtained for N4-lattices in terms of the above mentioned representation. (...)

  • On extensions of intermediate logics by strong negation.Marcus Kracht - 1998 - Journal of Philosophical Logic 27 (1):49-73.
In this paper we will study the properties of the least extension n(Λ) of a given intermediate logic Λ by a strong negation. It is shown that the mapping from Λ to n(Λ) is a homomorphism of complete lattices, preserving and reflecting finite model property, frame-completeness, interpolation and decidability. A general characterization of those constructive logics is given which are of the form n(Λ). This summarizes results that can be found already in [13, 14] and [4]. Furthermore, we determine the (...)

  • Substructural Fuzzy Logics.George Metcalfe & Franco Montagna - 2007 - Journal of Symbolic Logic 72 (3):834 - 864.
Substructural fuzzy logics are substructural logics that are complete with respect to algebras whose lattice reduct is the real unit interval [0.1]. In this paper, we introduce Uninorm logic UL as Multiplicative additive intuitionistic linear logic MAILL extended with the prelinearity axiom ((A → B) ∧ t) ∨ ((B → A) ∧ t). Axiomatic extensions of UL include known fuzzy logics such as Monoidal t-norm logic MTL and Gödel logic G, and new weakening-free logics. Algebraic semantics for these logics are (...)
