The idea that logic is in some sense normative for thought and reasoning is a familiar one. Some of the most prominent figures in the history of philosophy including Kant and Frege have been among its defenders. The most natural way of spelling out this idea is to formulate wide-scope deductive requirements on belief which rule out certain states as irrational. But what can account for the truth of such deductive requirements of rationality? By far, the most prominent responses draw (...) in one way or another on the idea that belief aims at the truth. In this paper, I consider two ways of making this line of thought more precise and I argue that they both fail. In particular, I examine a recent attempt by Epistemic Utility Theory to give a veritist account of deductive coherence requirements. I argue that despite its proponents’ best efforts, Epistemic Utility Theory cannot vindicate such requirements. (shrink)
This study aims to identify the strengthening of the global entrepreneurial orientation practice for employees at the University of Palestine, where the researchers used the descriptive and analytical approach, through a questionnaire distributed to a sample of employees at the University of Palestine, where the size of the study population is (234) employees and the sample size is (117) Employees, of whom (90) employees responded. Time sensitivity seems to affect our intuitive evaluation of the reasonable risk of fallibility in testimonies. All things being equal, we tend to be less demanding in accepting time sensitive testimonies as opposed to time insensitive testimonies. This paper considers this intuitive response to testimonies as a strategy of acceptance. It argues that the intuitive strategy, which takes time sensitivity into account, is epistemically superior to two adjacent strategies that do not: the undemanding strategy adopted by non-reductionists and the cautious (...) strategy adopted by reductionists. The paper demonstrates that in adopting the intuitive strategy of acceptance, one is likely to form more true beliefs and fewer false beliefs. Also, in following the intuitive strategy, the listener will be fulfilling his epistemic duties more efficiently. (shrink)
This study aims to identify digital repositories and their relationship with modern strategic planning for the smart infrastructure of universities: a field study applied to the University of Palestine, where the researchers used the descriptive and analytical approach, through a questionnaire distributed to a sample of employees at the University of Palestine, where the size of the study population (234) employees and the sample size is (117) employees, of whom (90) employees responded. Where the study provided a theoretical framework for (...) what the authors and researchers presented about the study variables, as well as a practical analytical framework for the opinions of employees at the University of Palestine, and the digital repositories were expressed as an independent variable through its four indicators (storing scientific research, classifying scientific research, creating an electronic portfolio for research, scientific, receiving and updating scientific research), while the dependent variable was expressed in the modern strategic planning of smart infrastructure. The study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: The existence of a good degree of satisfaction with digital repositories at the University of Palestine with a relative weight (72.13%). The dimensions of the digital repositories were arranged as follows (receiving and updating scientific research, classifying scientific research, storing scientific research, creating an electronic portfolio for scientific research). The results also showed a high level of satisfaction with the modern strategic planning of infrastructure at the University of Palestine, where the percentage reached (70.48%). And the existence of a statistically significant positive relationship between digital warehouses and modern strategic planning for infrastructure at the University of Palestine, and the results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in digital repositories and their relationship to modern strategic planning for the infrastructure according to demographic variables. The study presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which are: The need for universities to strengthen the digital repositories at the university and urge academics to include their scientific contributions in the digital repository for research. And work to enhance the practice of modern strategic planning for smart infrastructure at the university. (shrink)

Abstract- Breast Cancer is mostly identified amongst women and is a main reason for increasing the rate of mortality amongst women. Diagnosis of breast cancer takes time and due to the importance of the topic, it is necessary to develop a system that can automatically diagnose breast cancer in its early stages. Many Machine Learning Algorithms have been used for the detection breast cancer. The Wisconsin Breast Cancer Dataset has been used which contains 699 samples and 10 features. The paper (...) propos an Artificial Neural Network model that is implemented using Just Neural Networks (JNN) using the dataset which is collected from UCI machine learning repository. The proposed model has been trained and validated. The accuracy rate obtained from the proposed ANN model was 99.57%. (shrink)

(shrink)
