  1. On modal logic with an intuitionistic base.Gisèle Fischer Servi - 1977 - Studia Logica 36:141.
A definition of the concept of "Intuitionist Modal Analogue" is presented and motivated through the existence of a theorem preserving translation from MIPC to a bimodal S₄-S₅ calculus.

  • Every finitely reducible logic has the finite model property with respect to the class of ♦-formulae.Stéphane Demri & Ewa Orłowska - 1999 - Studia Logica 62 (2):177 - 200.
In this paper a unified framework for dealing with a broad family of propositional multimodal logics is developed. The key tools for presentation of the logics are the notions of closure relation operation and monotonous relation operation. The two classes of logics: FiRe-logics (finitely reducible logics) and LaFiRe-logics (FiRe-logics with local agreement of accessibility relations) are introduced within the proposed framework. Further classes of logics can be handled indirectly by means of suitable translations. It is shown that the logics from (...)

  • Models for normal intuitionistic modal logics.Milan Božić & Kosta Došen - 1984 - Studia Logica 43 (3):217 - 245.
Kripke-style models with two accessibility relations, one intuitionistic and the other modal, are given for analogues of the modal systemK based on Heyting's prepositional logic. It is shown that these two relations can combine with each other in various ways. Soundness and completeness are proved for systems with only the necessity operator, or only the possibility operator, or both. Embeddings in modal systems with several modal operators, based on classical propositional logic, are also considered. This paper lays the ground for (...)

  • Fibred semantics and the weaving of logics part 1: Modal and intuitionistic logics.D. M. Gabbay - 1996 - Journal of Symbolic Logic 61 (4):1057-1120.
This is Part 1 of a paper on fibred semantics and combination of logics. It aims to present a methodology for combining arbitrary logical systems L i , i ∈ I, to form a new system L I . The methodology `fibres' the semantics K i of L i into a semantics for L I , and `weaves' the proof theory (axiomatics) of L i into a proof system of L I . There are various ways of doing this, we (...)

  • Combining logics.Walter Carnielli & Marcelo E. Coniglio - 2008 - Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy.
Although a very recent topic in contemporary logic, the subject of combinations of logics has already shown its deep possibilities. Besides the pure philosophical interest offered by the possibility of defining mixed logic systems in which distinct operators obey logics of different nature, there are also several pragmatical and methodological reasons for considering combined logics. We survey methods for combining logics (integration of several logic systems into a homogeneous environment) as well as methods for decomposing logics, showing their interesting properties (...)
