  • Management Accounting Research and Structuration Theory: A Critical Realist Critique.Junaid Ashraf & Shahzad Uddin - 2015 - Journal of Critical Realism 14 (5):485-507.
The article extends the critique of structuration theory from a critical realist perspective, in particular by demonstrating how its theoretical shortcomings are manifest in management accounting research. This same analysis also demonstrates that learning processes are particularly suited for such an analysis because rules and concomitant phenomena comprise a significant portion of any learning interaction. This analysis further reveals the (...)
