This article aims to contribute to the economic science’s discourse analysis, bringing the concepts of Foucault’s post-structuralism to this debate. We seek to understand the epistemological change in the economy, started in the 80s, without having to resort to a split in social interpretation in abstract cultural spheres (postmodernism) and other material-economic spheres (neoliberalism). The field of rhetoric in economics has sparked an intense debate in the social sciences. The abandonment of Keynesian theses, empirically tested throughout the 20th century, due (...) to the absorption of neoliberal theses was interpreted as an expression of “postmodernity” in economic science. Arida and Paulani’s analysis trace the methodological criticism to the intense mathematization of the economy, to the resumption of premises based on ontologically questionable abstractions without, however, understanding the role of language in structuring the discourse of economic science. It is the search for an adequate ontology that guides the methodological critique of marginalist-neoclassical economic science. Based on Foucault’s concepts, we propose a new ontology for the understanding of the rhetoric field in economics. (shrink)

En el presente artículo se defiende la idea de que la situación de precariedad en la que vive el conjunto de las disciplinas humanísticas denota, no un problema disciplinar, sino todo un marco en el que se entiende que se dan las razones de tal situación. El objetivo principal de este artículo será hacer una llamada a la colaboración de conocimientos inter-disciplinares para trascender una visión burda y fragmentada del conocimiento; visión que está a la base del argumento de la (...) inutilidad de las humanidades. Por contra, en este artículo propongo que las humanidades conforman un tipo de conocimiento muy útil. Para poder entenderlo, aplicarlo y enriquecernos con él tenemos que cambiar el marco actual del siste-ma de conocimiento que está empobreciendo las posibilidades de conocer y transformar el mundo. Ello nos llevará a la necesidad de pensar el conocimiento en su globalidad, la educación y la democracia en el contexto de la sociedad global actual. (shrink)

Comencemos con una pregunta que de principio puede parecernos ya retórica: ¿Cuál es la función (social, política, cultural, humana, etcétera) del filósofo mexicano? Suponiendo que tiene sentido y es pertinente, la cuestión tiende a parecernos baladí. Ciertos discursos corrientes dan una respuesta aún antes de formular la pregunta -por eso nos parece retórica-, nos la presentan como un adorno literario, y a la respuesta como un hecho antes que como un problema.

Our article aims to show, on the one hand, the preeminence of the interactive paradigm as a determining element in the process of constitution of logical meaning and, on the other hand, to examine the contents of the linguistic expressions of pragmatic semantics. To do this, we expose three major figures of the logic of mathematical obedience in particular those of Gottfreid Leibniz, George Boole and Gottlob Frege. If this approach to mathematical logic has seen meritorious progress, it should be (...) pointed out that it does not favor the emphasis on epistemic and interactive aspects in the notions of logical consequences and inference. Our contribution is therefore to demonstrate that these weaknesses can be solved with the revolutionary approach of Robert Brandom based on the framework that promotes the interactive game of supply and demand of reasons. This analysis leads to the idea that interactive play is the basis of contemporary logical approaches. (shrink)

This work develops different contributions that challenge the epistemological classic notions to dividing fields of knowing in those who are susceptible of being studied and learnt and those who are not, beyond the knowledge considered as such by the Academy or by certain hegemony of knowledge. We propose some perspectives that question this dichotomy and the notion of totality as its basis, as for example, intercultural philosophy, from Raúl Fornet-Betancourt; the rupture like a function of the concept itself, analyzed by (...) Arturo Roig; the consciousness of world product of the simultaneity proposed by Alexander Von Humboldt and finally the notion of the abysmal developed by Boaventura de Sousa Santos. These perspectives contribute to think an "epistemology of the South". However, we expect here to advance from that notion to other, that is postulated as an 'anthropophagic epistemology". So some basic knowledge of the Brazilian avant-garde movement of the 1920s are developed in order to pave the way in the consolidation of this new epistemological perspective. (shrink)

Este estudo apresenta uma abordagem aproximativa entre as discussões propostas pelo modelo social de deficiência e as concepções filosóficas do médico e filósofo Georges Canguilhem. A partir dos conceitos de doença, patologia, anomalia, normalidade e anormalidade, busca-se aqui, atualizar a discussão dialogando com as preposições do modelo social de deficiência. Elegemos como referencial teórico a obra O normal e o patológico, de Georges Canguilhem e as contribuições de Débora Diniz na obra O que é deficiência; além disso, uma busca na (...) plataforma Google acadêmico foi feita com os seguintes descritores: normal – anormal – norma – normalidade – deficiência. Foram feitas as seguintes associações de descritores: normal/deficiência, anormal/deficiência, norma/deficiência e normalidade/deficiência. Após a leitura dos resumos, constatamos que quatro textos encontrados tratam da temática abordada neste artigo, portanto, fizemos a opção de integrá-los ao referencial teórico deste estudo. Espera-se que essa abordagem aproximativa possibilite uma reflexão a respeito do conceito de normalidade, distanciando-o da deficiência, e assim, aumentando as possibilidades de alcançarmos uma sociedade cada vez mais inclusiva. The article aims at clarifying the historical status and cognitive potentials of such a genre of contemporary historiography of philosophy as biographical encyclopedia (dictionary). Based on extensive bibliographic material, the author demonstrates that in the late XX – early XXI centuries in the English-speaking countries there was a real outbreak of interest in encyclopedias and dictionaries, compiled from personalized articles about the life and works of philosophers of certain epochs, countries, trends, etc. According to the author, the increasing popularity of (...) this genre can be considered as a logical continuation of the historical and biographical turns that took place in the Anglo-American (analytic) philosophy in the 1980s and 1990s, respectively. The author specifically emphasizes that it caused the appearance of a significant number of encyclopedias and dictionaries, which contain the well-known facts as well as the significant elements of scholar novelty. The article also shows that similar tendencies have taken place in the contemporary Ukrainian historiography of philosophy. It is shown that Ukrainian experts also made their own significant contribution to the development of this genre. They have successfully developed a special approach, which presupposes the focus on life and works of the representatives of a particular academic institution. The intellectual value of this approach is demonstrated by the example of the recently published two-volume encyclopedia “Kyiv Theological Academy in Names: 1819-1924”. It contains a systematic and very informative presentation of the biographies of many representatives of the national philosophy, whose activities were associated with this institution. The author also shows that from the perspective of the historiography of philosophy, the general methodological foundations of this encyclopedic research is a matter of special interest. (shrink)

We carry out a critical analysis of the so-called “knowledge society” in order to show in what way the European Space for Higher Education (ESHE) constitutes the paradoxical culmination of this society. The “knowledge society” begins to solidify when the technologies, progressively specialized and separated from the possible basic scientific control of their consequences, begin to make possible a process of economic optimization between the investment and the productive profitability that is in turn feedbacked for a consumption increasingly unstoppable. This (...) process requires in principle to promote the sociological map that provides the educational support for a labor market in agreement with this economic-technologically optimized and full of consumerism society. But due to the increasingly unstoppable dynamics of consumerism which is the axis of rotation of all this process, the relationships between supply and demand within the consumption market, and with them the requirements of the labor market, will begin foreseeably to become random or unforeseeable, which will requires the creation of the corresponding educational support that generates a new type of maximum and indefinitely versatile professional. This one would be the necessity to which the project of the ESHE seeks basically to respond, but this project will thus be wrapped in the paradoxical task of. (shrink)

This article is an attempt to approach what is currently called human trafficking among legal circles and journalistic discourses, from an aesthetic-technological perspective, as a technology that seeks to produce an experience of the obliteration of bodies. Firstly, we make a characterization of the way these discourses operate, as well as of their effects in order to indicate just how incapable of pondering aesthetic-technological functioning they are, as far as the technology experience postulated herein. In the final part the article, (...) a series of elements and mechanisms of what would constitute that technology of experience is enumerated. In conclusion, a conceptual supplement is offered that seeks to characterize a mechanism of non-recognition at the center of this technology of experience. (shrink)

Moving to the discipline of political sociology, we will articulate certain contributions of the critical Argentine Marxists, Silvio Frondizi and José Aricó, whose primary writings spanned the decades of 1960s to the 1990s.As a hypothesis, we will consider that these contributions can be productively linked to the themes of the “translatability of scientific and philosophical languages” and of “constitutionalism”, referred to by Antonio Gramsci at different moments of his political-intellectual trajectory, but fundamentally in his already legendary Prison Notebooks.In the period (...) from the Cuban Revolution of 1959 to the transitions to democracy in Latin America in the last decades of the 20th century, what Frondizi and Aricó have set out to develop is the full potential of the notion of popular sovereignty. This article intends to show how the philosophy of Kant supposes a rupture with the doctrines based on a system of absolute rationality, where the most important element is the unity of reason. In this way, it will try to underline the main critiques of the Prussian philosopher to theories based on the unity of reason and direct access to reality, as well as exposing the Kantian proposal of a unitary formal rational structure, but with several irreconcilable uses.

This paper proposes a transversal lecture of the Phenomenology of Mind from Hegel by following in the text the idea of death. To show the different figures of the death in the book, the author uses three lecture`s key: a) the death as natural end of the life, b) the fear of the death as regulative idea by the constitution the society, c) overcoming death through one kind of rational way of survival.

In an age where diversity is increasingly accepted as a value as well as a fact, ethico-political cosmopolitanism should propose a notion of global unity that is composed of rather than imposed on difference. Jacques Derrida and Walter Mignolo offer different versions of this view of cosmopolitanism. Derrida’s version is based on his notion of “democracy to come”. He characterizes this notion as an “unconditional” or “quasi-transcendental” injunction. Mignolo castigates this injunction as an “abstract universal”. He offers instead “a critical (...) and dialogic” view of cosmopolitanism that is based more speci cally on the “colonial difference” or “border thinking” of Latin American subaltern groups. I argue that Derrida’s many implicit and explicit references to “voices” suggest a third alternative. This contender avoids certain problems in Derrida’s and Mignolo’s otherwise compelling views of cosmopolitanism. It also retains the universality of Derrida’s unconditional injunction but on the basis of the sort of worldly immanency urged by Mignolo’s border thinking. (shrink)

O artigo apresenta uma reflexão, no ambiente acadêmico, sobre as relações interdisciplinares, que são distintas da disciplinaridade e da multidisciplinaridade, estas já bem sedimentadas. Para tanto, compreende a disciplina como um campo específico de conhecimento, em termos teóricos e metodológicos, situando a interdisciplinaridade como uma resposta às limitações impostas pela especialização disciplinar. A partir de uma metodologia que utiliza a revisão bibliográfica como elemento central, conclui que a vocação do campo de conhecimento das Ciências das Religiões para a interdisciplinaridade se (...) dá pela disposição e possibilidade teórica e organizacional de pesquisadores, de diferentes áreas de conhecimento,compartilharem de um mesmo espaço acadêmico. Destaca a identidade das Ciências das Religiões, enquanto disciplina, e remete para a importância de diálogos interdisciplinares para a produção de novos conhecimentos. Recorda finalmente o trabalho pioneiro de Max Muller, considerado um dos fundadores da área de Ciências das Religiões, cujo método por ele proposto, chamado filológico, dá pistas para a aplicação do conceito de interdisciplinaridade. O processo educacional atual enfrenta desafios variados, pois lida com relações e inteligências múltiplas. A educação escolar participa destes desafios. Como educar para a tolerância e para a responsabilidade social, tendo em vista a construção da cultura de paz, do respeito e do cuidado com o diferente? Como a disciplina de Ensino Religioso pode participar ativamente deste processo de formação humana? Este estudo faz parte de uma pesquisa mais ampla sobre tolerância e promoção da cultura de paz em algumas escolas (...) públicas de Ensino Fundamental da periferia da cidade de Belo Horizonte/MG; e, baseada na investigação bibliográfica e observacional, visa pensar uma ação pedagógica com foco dialógico. Denominamos de “pedagogia do cuidado e do conhecimento”, pois afeto e saberes devem coexistir no ambiente escolar para estimular relações construtivas. Esta reflexão objetiva apresentar resultados desta pesquisa e propor o cuidado nas relações interpessoais, para que a escola atinja índices de qualidade desejáveis, tanto no nível intelectual quanto emocional. Relações dialógicas são construídas na valorização do humano e por isto permanecem. O exercício do diálogo inter-religioso no ambiente escolar pode ser oportunidade e treinamento de construções dialógicas, tanto ao participar de projetos escolares quanto ao serem praticados no interior da sala de aula. Neste artigo nos propomos a analisar algumas questões em torno da noção de utilidade e serventia das ditas humanidades. O pensar não vinculado a um pronto utilitarismo é sinônimo de inutilidade? Para responder a esta questão levantamos certos aspectos históricos que fundamentam o automático vínculo entre a utilidade e as ciências e a desvalorização dos saberes que não produzem um produto imediato. Não se trata de um manifesto contra as ditas ciências duras nem de um panegírico às humanidades. São reflexões (...) que recolocam a questão dos estudos humanísticos como parte integrante dos saberes contemporâneos. (shrink)

Enmarcado en la memoria de los mártires de El Salvador, y a la luz de la realidad actual en la que la violencia contra las mujeres no se detiene, leemos una narración del libro de Jueces. Luego de referirnos a Jueces como uno de los libros de la Biblia Hebrea donde aparecen más mujeres y muy diversas, estudiamos el relato de la muerte –feminicidio– de la hija de Jefté, sacrificada a Dios por su propio padre. Analizamos las reacciones tanto de (...) los personajes principales como las del mismo narrador, destacando, por una parte, el silencio de unos y, por la otra, el memorial con que todos los años las mujeres israelitas recordaban y denunciaban esta muerte. Trabajamos, luego, la realidad de la sororidad, como camino de empoderamiento para las mujeres. Reconocemos, entonces, en Latinoamérica y en la Argentina de hoy nuevos gestos de resistencia realizados por mujeres, gestos que, como memoriales sororiales y colectivos, rescatan de la invisibilización y del olvido a las víctimas de nuestros días. Por último, señalamos particularmente los de las Madres de Plaza de Mayo en Argentina, relacionándolos con el relato de Jueces 11 que analizamos en la primera parte del artículo. (shrink)

This paper analyzes some of the trends in one sector of the extensive corpus of critique of Hispano-American Modernism. It highlights their potential to articulate the aesthetic and political dimensions of the phenomenon. It outlines the interweaving of the relationship between diverse critical traditions from the most elementary level of contrast to the most complex level of complementarity. This display allows for establishing the relevance of an analysis that swivels between the text and its locus of enunciation, enabling a conversation (...) between the fields of literary critique and cultural studies. Our paper is intended to follow the streams of thought along Chinese classicism that fostered hostility towards literary culture and merged into Han Feizi's work, by mid-3rd Century BC. On the one hand, Confucian tradition was prone to an elitist and anti-democratic approach to government, and set a precedent for mistrust in the use of eloquence and bookish culture. On the other, Taoism developed a theoretical contempt towards intellectualism, material culture, and scientific and technical progress, going as far as to (...) fancy unlettered utopias. On the basis of sheer utility and functionality, the Legalist school, whose latest link is represented by Han Feizi, would be receptive to both streams and take mistrust in traditional literary culture to its height. Assimilation of these ideas by Qin Shihuang, the First Emperor, led to implementation of anti-literary radicalism by banning any freedom of speech and, ultimately, by burning books and erudites. Mutatis mutandis, we suggest that a connection may be drawn between that historical process and today's Neoliberal hostility towards the Humanities. (shrink)
