Cybercrime is a global threat affecting both public and private sectors. Business email compromise (BEC) is one of the most advanced and lucrative forms of cybercrime, exploiting vulnerabilities in corporate email systems to facilitate unauthorised financial transactions. Organisations worldwide suffer substantial losses from these attacks. This article explores the connection between Black Axe and BEC scams, providing insights into how public sector organisations can better combat these sophisticated criminal networks.

Abstract -/- This paper introduces the Chirality of Dynamic Emergent Systems (CODES), an interdisciplinary framework for understanding the interplay between chaos and order in the emergence of structured resonance, which is defined as the process by which chaotic, asymmetric forces interact and self-organize into coherent patterns through dynamic feedback and synchronization mechanisms. We argue that structured resonance is a fundamental organizing principle that explains how seemingly disordered elements can align and form stable, emergent structures over time. Empirically, we present computational (...) evidence through advanced simulations, including Bose-Einstein condensates and wavelet transforms, to illustrate coherence, symmetry breaking, and chirality-driven dynamics. The current appeal of non-standard economic alternatives is backgrounded against the vulnerability of mainstream capitalism to meltdown and crisis as shown in recent times. There is an increasing number of governments, institutions, and civil societies (NGOs) that have been advocating economic systems, structures, or dynamics that would promote the good of the human person (dignity, personhood, values, and worth). People have started to realize that doing economics is not always within the realm of rationalized judgments and mathematized calculations (highly impersonal) (...) but must look after the human person, at all costs. This paper attempts to contribute to this agendum by employing an interdisciplinary dialogue between theology and economics; drawing a moral-cultural framework towards a compassion-based economics. Together with the positive traits of today’s economic alternatives and the salient features of Jesus’ praxis of compassion, this paper would offer fourteen (14) criteria as basis for what could be the most feasible base/locus for an economics of compassion. Eventually, what has been considered as the suitable base/locus is the Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs). Hence, a BEC-based Economics of Compassion or BEC-EC. (shrink)

Inspired by “One Note Samba,” a standard jazz repertoire, we present an outline of Bose-Einstein Condensate Cosmology (BECC). Although this approach seems awkward and a bit off the wall at first glance, it is not impossible to connect altogether BEC, Scalar Field Cosmology and Feshbach Resonance with Ermakov-Pinney equation. We also discuss shortly possible link with our previous paper, where we describe Newtonian Universe with Vortex in terms of Ermakov equation.

As attackers employ advanced techniques, such as highly personalized spear-phishing emails and malicious links, enterprises require innovative solutions to safeguard their digital ecosystems. This research explores the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing phishing detection and response, with a specific focus (...) on addressing advanced social engineering tactics. AIpowered phishing detection systems utilize machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP) to analyze communication patterns, detect anomalies, and identify deceptive content in real-time. Unlike conventional rule-based systems, AI approaches adapt dynamically to evolving attack vectors, offering a robust defense against both known and emerging threats. These systems can scrutinize email headers, content, URLs, and attachments to uncover subtle indicators of malicious intent. By leveraging historical datasets and predictive analytics, AI models identify patterns associated with phishing, such as unusual sender behavior, suspicious linguistic cues, and mismatched domain information. This study examines the critical components of AI-driven phishing detection, including feature extraction, algorithm selection, and system deployment within enterprise environments. It highlights the role of NLP in understanding the contextual and linguistic subtleties of phishing messages and how advanced ML models, such as decision trees, support vector machines, and deep neural networks, enhance detection accuracy. -/- Additionally, the research delves into the challenges of implementing AI in phishing detection, such as ensuring data privacy, mitigating adversarial attacks on AI models, and fostering trust through explainable AI. Studie věnuje pozornost problematice demokratizace vědy, v jejímž rámci zaujímá klíčové postavení otázka, v jaké míře a zda vůbec má mít široká veřejnost možnost zasahovat do vědní a výzkumné politiky a participovat na rozhodování v odborných záležitostech. První část studie je věnována představení dvou radikálně odlišných a vzájemně protichůdných pohledů na tuto problematiku, které byly rozpracovány v rámci poválečné filosofie vědy v dílech Michaela Polanyiho a Paula Feyerabenda a v různých podobách spolu soupeří dodnes. Tyto dva pohledy, jež nás staví (...) před volbu mezi odborností na úkor demokracie a demokracií na úkor odbornosti, jsou následně podrobeny kritickému zhodnocení a v opozici k nim je představen alternativní pohled rozvíjený v rámci vědních studií Harrym Collinsem a Robertem Evansem, jenž překračuje nutnost této volby a na základě sociologických výzkumů fenoménu odbornosti nabízí způsob, jak lze odbornost a demokratické hodnoty sloučit dohromady. PanagKalangkang is a small fishing community in Sta. Cruz, Marinduque. Viewed as rough ground, life there is an everyday struggle where, from their need to survive, people have to negotiate and adjust. In this paper, the author attempts to draw on the idea of “rough grounds” as locus theologicus and thereby contribute towards a theological methodology sourced from the praxis of the margins, where people find themselves in the midst of friction between the dominant forces of structure/system and the dearth (...) of the ground. To better facilitate the analysis of the frictional dynamics at the ground, this paper makes use of a heuristic device that borrows fundamental ideas from the science of lubricated friction, a branch of engineering science called tribology. It has been discovered that the peculiarity of that locus has implications for theological methodology. Anecdotal narratives of the author’s field research in selected BECs in the Diocese of Boac, Marinduque are integrated to provide concrete “corporeal” structure to an otherwise theoretical abstraction.
