    Diversity of Aquatic Insects in Semara Taal, a Wetland of District Siddharthnagar, U.P.Sadguru Prakash - 2018 - International Journal of Fauna and Biological Studies 5 (1):248-250.
    The present study deals with the aquatic insects survey conducted from March 2018 to May 2018 in Semara Taal. This study enumerated 20 different species belonging to 6 orders and 19 families. Order Hemiptera represent the highest number of species (8 genera) followed by Diptera (4 genera), Coleoptera (3 genera), Odonta (2 genera), Ephemeroptera (2 genera), and Trichoptera (single genus). Dominance of Hemipteran, Odonata and Coleoptera insects suggested that the Semara taal is relatively less polluted.

    The present investigation has been designed to study the effect of sublethal concentrations of Chlorpyrifos on the behavior and serum biomolecules of Heteropnetues fossilis (Bloch) after exposure to 96 hours. The present study shows that behavioural alterations such as alternation in opercular movements, surfacing, swimming, jumping, and mucous secretion. Serum biomolecules such as glucose, protein, triglyceride, cholesterol and urea were significantly increased in Chlorpyrifos exposed fish.     The effect of heavy metal, arsenic on organic reserve of liver of a cat fish, Mystus vittatus at different sublethal concentration (10%, 20% and 30%) of arsenic trioxide at different time intervals of 10, 20 and 30 days was studied.     The present investigation has been designed to study the effect of sublethal concentrations of phorate, on the haematological parametes of Channa punctatus (Bloch) after exposure to 15 days.     The effect of heavy metal, arsenic on organic reserve of intestine of a cat fish, Mystus vittatus at different sublethal concentration and different time intervals of 10, 20 and 30 days was studied. The glycogen, protein, triglyceride, nucleic acid and alkaline phosphatases content were decreased significantly in arsenic exposed fish, Mystus vittatus.
