Wool Demand Prediction for Indian Production Companies.M. Vandan Reddy - 2025 - International Journal of Engineering Innovations and Management Strategies 1 (10):1-10.
Wool production industries rely heavily on accurate demand forecasting to manage supply chains and production schedules effectively. Predicting wool demand allows companies to avoid overproduction and resource wastage while meeting market needs efficiently. Traditional forecasting models often struggle with the seasonality and variability of wool demand. The ARIMA (Auto Regressive Integrated Moving Average) model, a time series forecasting technique, is particularly suited for this task due to its ability to capture both trends and seasonal fluctuations in historical data. The data (...)

Cloudburst Prediction in India Using Machine Learning.A. Tejaswini Reddy - 2024 - International Journal of Engineering Innovations and Management Strategies 1 (3):1-14.
Cloudbursts pose a significant threat in India, especially during the South-West Monsoon season that commences in June. India's diverse climate regions, including the northern Himalayan region, Indo-Gangetic Plain, southern peninsula, and coastal areas, experience sporadic cloudbursts, with only 31 recorded instances, mainly in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir. To address the lack of comprehensive Indian cloudburst data, we've curated a dataset, incorporating meteorological factors for cloudburst prediction. This dataset encompasses variables such as Temperature, Wind Gust, Wind Gust Speed, (...)

The project titled "Anonymization and Revocation of User Identity in CPABE-Based Ring Networks" addresses these concerns by integrating CiphertextPolicy Attribute-Based Encryption (CPABE) into a ring network environment. This novel approach effectively hides user identities during communications, mitigating risks of unauthorized data access and preventing potential misuse of sensitive information. A key feature of this project is the implementation of a secure revocation mechanism that ensures once a user's permissions are revoked, they (...)

In previous work, we have outlined a particular form of affective injustice that we called emotional imperialism. This paper has two main aims. First, we aim to provide an expanded account of the forms that emotional imperialism can take. We will do so by drawing inspiration (...)

It has become increasingly common to talk about the second person in the theory of mind debate. While theory theory and simulation theory are described as third person and first person accounts respectively, a second person account suggests itself as a viable, though wrongfully neglected third option. In this paper I argue that this way of framing the debate is misleading. Although defenders of second person accounts make use of the vocabulary of the theory of mind debate, they understand some (...)

Heidegger’s analysis of human existence has long been criticized for ignoring the full possibilities of human encounter. This article finds a basis for the criticism in recent infancy research. It presents evidence for a second-person structure in our earliest encounters: An infant first becomes present to herself as the focal center of a caregiver’s gazing, smiling, or vocalization. The exchange in which the self thus appears is termed a You–I event. Such an event, it is held, cannot be assimilated into (...)

In Everettian quantum mechanics, justifications for the Born rule appeal to self-locating uncertainty or decision theory. Such justifications have focused exclusively on a pure-state Everettian multiverse, represented by a wave function. Recent works in quantum foundations suggest that it is viable to consider a mixed-state Everettian multiverse, represented by a (mixed-state) density matrix. Here, we develop the conceptual foundations for decoherence and branching in a mixed-state multiverse, and extend arguments for the Born rule to this setting. This extended framework provides (...)

  43. Two Steps Forward: An African Relational Account of Moral Standing.Nancy S. Jecker, Caesar A. Atuire & Martin Ajei - 2022 - Philosophy and Technology 35 (2):38.
This paper replies to a commentary by John-Stewart Gordon on our paper, “The Moral Standing of Social Robots: Untapped Insights from Africa.” In the original paper, we set forth an African relational view of personhood and show its implica- tions for the moral standing of social robots. This reply clarifies our position and answers three objections. The objections concern (1) the ethical significance of intelligence, (2) the meaning of ‘pro-social,’ and (3) the justification for prioritizing humans over pro-social robots.

Data Integrity Verification Scheme in Cloud Using Third Party Audit.P. Raja Sekhar Reddy - 2024 - International Journal of Engineering Innovations and Management Strategies 1 (3):1-14.
Due to risks like tampering, corruption, and illegal access, the rapid rise in cloud storage usage makes data integrity a top priority. As a way to verify the correctness of data stored in the cloud, we develop a "Data Integrity Verification Scheme" in this project which involves the use of third-party auditing (TPA). The system produces hash values for files both during upload and retrieval using cryptographic hashing methods, assuring consistency between both. Without needing a link to the real file (...)

Kaizen: A Fitness Application for Activity Tracking and Diet Management using Mobile Sensors.V. Vashishta Mithra Reddy - 2024 - International Journal of Engineering Innovations and Management Strategies 1 (11):1-14.
This paper presents Kaizen, a sensor-driven mobile application developed to track and encourage physical activity through goal-setting, gamification, and personalized diet recommendations, tailored specifically to the Indian dietary context. Kaizen uses accelerometers, GPS, and gyroscopes to monitor user movements in real-time, offering an alternative to traditional fitness tracking methods that often lack cultural dietary considerations or personalized motivation systems. With a ranking system and interactive challenges, Kaizen aims to enhance user engagement and promote continuous improvement in health and fitness. Early (...)

In recent years, there has been a heated debate about how to interpret findings that seem to show that humans rapidly and automatically calculate the visual perspectives of others. In the current study, we investigated the question of whether automatic interference effects found in the dot-perspective task (Samson, Apperly, Braithwaite, Andrews, & Bodley Scott, 2010) are the product of domain-specific perspective-taking processes or of domain-general “submentalizing” processes (Heyes, 2014). Previous attempts to address this question have done so by implementing inanimate (...)

Abstract. Intelligent Tutoring System Builder (ITSB) is an authoring tool designed and developed to aid teachers in constructing intelligent tutoring systems in a multidisciplinary fields. The teacher is needed to create a set of pedagogical fundamentals, which, in line, are inured to automatically build up a broad tutor framework and construct an intelligent tutoring system. In this paper an explanation of the theory and the architecture of the tool is outlined. A presentation of several system components, the requirements of the (...)

This paper critically examines coincidence arguments and evolutionary debunking arguments against non-naturalist realism in metaethics. It advances a version of these arguments that goes roughly like this: Given a non-naturalist, realist metaethic, it would be cosmically coincidental if our first order normative beliefs were true. This coincidence undermines any prima facie justification enjoyed by those beliefs.
