The article contains a critical analysis of Wittgenstein’s theory of logical symbolism. According to an influential interpretation, Wittgenstein presented in the Tractatus a new method of solving paradoxes. This method seems a simple and effective alternative to Russell’s type theory. Wittgenstein’s theory of logical symbolism is based on the requirement of clear notation and the context principle: the type of a symbol only “shows” itself in the way we use the signs of our language. The function sign φ(φx) does not (...) express any paradox, because the syntactic rules for its use, written in clear notation, should “show” us that φ(φx) = ψ(φx). Many researchers (Davant, Ishiguro, Mounce, Ruffino, Friedlander, Jolley, Livingston, Ladov, et al.) follow this interpretation. However, the difficulty of such a view on Wittgenstein’s theory of logical symbolism is that there hides the fallacy of petitio principii. Indeed, in examples of a functional sign of the form φ(φx), we are interested not only in the question of whether the functions φ are different symbols, but also in how this functional sign φ(φx) itself excludes the symbolization of the same object by different ways. This interpretation is contrasted with the idea that Wittgenstein’s theory of logical symbolism is in fact a modified analogue of Russell’s simple theory of types. The reciprocality principle becomes the core of Wittgenstein’s theory: the combinatorial potential of the “prototype” of a functional sign is identical to the combinatorial potential of the “prototype” of an argument. According to Wittgenstein, only describing the combinatorial potential of linguistic expressions (symbols) can vanish the illusion of paradoxes. The function cannot be its argument, because the function sign φ(φx) already contains the “prototype” of its argument, “showing” us that φ(φx) = φx. The correctness of this interpretation does not exclude the possibility that the differences between Russell and Wittgenstein are in fact nothing more than façon de parler. (shrink)

This paper is dedicated to V. V. Rosanov views on the issue of sexual love. Analyzing the system of Rosanov’s notions of the God, nature and sex, authors show how the philosopher is trying to create pansexualistic quasireligious doctrine versus Christianity. The thinker is referred to as a radical ideologist of mystical-erotic revolution and a mouthpiece of peculiar to Russian culture trend towards the construction of a national religion.

Purpose. With the consideration of anthropological tendencies in modern science, the purpose of the article is to analyze the problem of the subject of cognition, philosophical-psychological rationale for the need to complement it by the concept of "the researcher’s personality". Theoretical basis. The authors rely on post-non-classical methodological tools and basic principles of complexity theory, as well as theoretical provisions of epistemological constructivism, the results of theoretical and empirical psychological studies. In them, authors revealed psychological features of the potential of (...) self-realization of a person prone to innovation and research activities and transfessionalism, including the resources and reserves of the researcher’s personality. Originality. The concept of the subject of cognition is expanded by the concept of "researcher’s personality" and derivative concepts that describe the dynamics of self-harmonization of originative co-generative strengths and opportunities of self-realization of an enlightened person, reveal the degree of correlation in the cognition of the subjective and objective dimensions of his life. It is substantiated that further analysis of the problem of anthropologization of science requires appropriate onto-epistemological grounds that reveals the unity of cognition-education-skill as an essential characteristic of the maturity of the researcher’s personality of scientific knowledge. Conclusions. In the context of anthropological shifts in modern science, the philosophical-psychological analysis of the problem of the subject of cognition is actualized. The psychological research proves the advisability of using the "researcher’s personality" concept as a basic one for understanding the formation of an enlightened human-creator, capable of auto-eco-organization, self-transcendence, and syzygy with the Universe at different levels of innovational research activity. The self-realization of the researcher-personality is a way-search for the authenticity of the multiform unity of life, the personal meaning of scientific truth, and the self-harmonization of the originative co-generative co-determinative strengths in the knowledge of an enlightened person. Including the concept of the subject of cognition in the ontology of the unity of difference-multidimensional poly-essential autopoetic integrity, the anthropologization of science is intended to revive the ancient idea in the unity of truth, education and skill of a scientist, defining the ideal of a modern human-transfessional. The article explores the context and conceptual foundations of doxology - new project of epistemology proposed by Swedish professor Mats Rosengren. He reinterprets the basic concepts of epistemology, which were formed in the times of Plato and Aristotle. Swedish scholar is trying to rebuild the philosophy of knowledge, based on the updated system of initial abstractions. He inverts the traditional oppositions: knowledge (episteme) vs. opinion (doxa), philosophy vs. rhetoric. Thus, he takes the position of rhetorical philosophy, conceptually close to the (...) positions of the Greek sophists-rhetoricians. Rosengren gives a doxological interpretation of the Protagoras thesis about a human as a measure of all things. According to this account, human - it's all mankind; and the essence of humans, from the standpoint of the ancient Greeks, is human mind-logos. Rosengren thinks that protagorean approach, basal for doxology, has great heuristic potential. The heart of this approach is that all human knowledge is doxical, is not epistemic. And the task of doxology - to find out how we, humans, as social beings, really create the knowledge that can be examined as truth. (shrink)

Not only quality of life and health of population depends on the level of environmental and legal culture of citizens, but persistent development of Ukraine and its national security. Social transformations and realizing the ideas of constitutional state unnecessary predict an energization of environmental mediation. Its task is to provide an adequate solution of environmental conflicts and crimes, and also to change the paradigm of participants’ thoughts of legal education. Environmental mediation is considered as a factor of development of the (...) system of legal education, that influences on the formation of high level of legal culture and citizen’s justice. It is substantiated that the environmental mediation has to be studied in the social philosophy and philosophy of law because these branches of knowledge may apply to the ideological basis of environmental mediation resolution and substantiate its role as a factor of legal education of the modern citizen. It is well-known that the legal educational aspect of studying of environmental mediation involves necessity of consideration of the general outlook and value of principles that form the basis of environmental ethics of society and citizens, and also are the foundation of environmental legal education, one of the subjects of those is the institute of the environmental mediation. The suggested eco-philosophical paradigm, according to which the leading idea of co-evolutionary development of human and the biosphere is considered as precondition and a factor of the noosphere development. It is shown that the issue of the establishment of environmental oriented personality, its ability to build a reasonable relationship with the environment, awareness of importance of affirmation of a new strategy of social and natural development and the importance of the ideas of the noosphere future of society and nature have to be thought not only by philosophers, but also by experts in the field of environmental mediation. Becoming the only elements of culture in general and legal culture in particular, they will be available for the perception of many members of society and will occupy a prominent place in their minds. It will let «to fill» consciousness of subjects and objects of legal education by eco-philosophical ideas and concepts and will become a factor of the assertion of harmonious human relationships with the natural environment and the realization of its humanistic ideals. The conclusion: environmental mediation as a factor of legal education has to affirm the paradigm of such formation of values, where there is the idea of self-worth of another person, the idea of the unity of human and nature, the search of a dynamic balance between human activities and natural biogeocenoses, overcome the human alienation from nature, developing environmental outlook and ethical and environmental imperative of human subsistence are taken as a basis. Investigation of mechanisms of (...) constructing virtual superhuman personalities in the world web is not only of interest for further analysis of the problem of extraterrestrial intelligence, but also to extend subject field of anthropology of the Internet as an important area of philosophical and anthropological studies. The purpose of the study. Analysis of the phenomenon of channeling as a projection of the fundamental problems of life ETI, its representation on the World Wide Web, the impact on the archaism of postmodern culture posing problems meta an-thropological dimensions of existence in the universe of reason and contact with him in the doctrinal grounds channeling. Analysis of research on the problem and its empirical base. Purpose of the paper is to highlight the methodological role of social philosophy in the processes of optimizing the democratic system, modernizing the content of the category of freedom and responsibility ‑ through the philosophical analysis of definitions by representatives of various political forces and the humanities. The task is to reveal the causes of the ambiguity of the concept of democracy through the analysis of the polysemy of the notions of freedom and responsibility and to prevent the danger of (...) the transformation of democracy into a dictatorship or ochlocracy. Theoretical basis is the fundamental research of prominent philosophers such as B. Spinoza, G. F. F. Hegel, G.-V. Leibniz, F. Nietzsche, J.-J. Russo, J.-P. Sartre, E. Fromm, M. Berdyaev and others; the basic principles of social philosophy ‑ social determinism, the concreteness of truth, rationality, interconnection and development, the requirements of comprehensiveness and criticism. Originality of the research is: in substantiating the significance of contemporary philosophical analysis of the content of key concepts of democracy ‑ «freedom» and «responsibility»; in revealing the mechanism of the functioning of concepts of freedom and responsibility in different ideologies and various spheres of public life; in conducting a philosophical analysis of the notion of responsibility, in revealing the reasons for the paradoxical nature of its manifestations; in outlining the scientific and didactic potential of the philosophical research of categories of freedom and responsibility in the practice of democratic processes; in posing the question of the need to take into account the hierarchy of the content of freedom. Conclusions. As a result of the study, it was found that the philosophical understanding of the basic principles and concepts of democracy, especially freedom and responsibility, must precede the optimization of the democratic system, and the results of philosophical analysis must be taken into account in the practice of everyday life of the state. The model of the constant reproduction of the existing state of spiritual differentiation of a person's worldview should be contrasted with the model of harmonization of the democratic system, only reducing its internal contradiction to the non-antagonistic and the formation on this basis of self-limitation, self-determination of personalities ‑ as a consequence of understanding the relativity of freedom, full awareness and acceptance responsibility for their intentions and decisions. The focus of philosophical research attention on the theoretical and, where appropriate, specifically applied problems of religion is a phenomenon immanent and unpersuasive. Its relevance is explained by the fact that the reflexiveness of philosophical thinking always determines the search for the answer to the basic worldview questions and aims at grasping the standards of wisdom. The history of human civilization is confirmed by the fact that one of the major worldview issues that bothers man is the question of life (...) and death, the meaning of human existence and the purpose of the world and, most often, in finding an answer to it, humanity turned to a religion that is vividly illustrated by the existence of the great the number of different doctrines and beliefs. It is no secret that a large number of people see in religion and the basis of wisdom, the ideological and axiological potential of its nurturing. Of course, this does not mean that within the human culture there is no attempt to find wisdom outside of religion and even against it. But in any case, it cannot be denied that the search for wisdom on the basis of religious outlook is historically natural, and even dominates spiritual culture in certain eras. (shrink)

Анализируется проблема связи категорий различных областей знаний. В частности, рассматривается эстетика и трансценденция. Цель статьи показать связь философских категорий через конкретику роцессов, которые происходят в реальности. В данном случае в реальности психических процессов человека. Философские категории такие как эстетика, эстетическое, трансценденция имеют основания в конкретных психических состояниях человека, как повседневного состояния сознания, так и изменённых состояний сознания. Это такие состояния как транс, вдохновение, озарение, интуитивное прозрение. Постановка проблемы сводится к тому чтобы показать связь философских категорий через реалии бытийствующих процессов, в (...) частности через процессы психической жизни человека. Анализ последних исследований и публикаций показал намечающуюся связь таких психических процессов как творчество и транс в работах Б.М. Теплова. Выделяя нерешенные раньше части общей проблемы возникает необходимость связать психические процессы, реально существующие с такими философскими категориями как эстетика и трансценденция. Цель статьи и постановка задач сводится к тому чтобы связать психические процессы, реально существующие у человека с философскими категориями различных областей знания, в частности связать эстетику и трансценденцию. The purpose of this article was to comprehensively explore the phenomenon of the narrative of the Decalogue in its fundamental principles in the context of the theological understanding of Jewish law. For this purpose abstract-logical methods, historical-legal, phenomenological, axiological, epistemological methods, method of critical and systematic analysis and method of comparative theology were used. The result is a theological understanding of the basic moral and legal principles and reducing to a single, systematic; a study of the correlation between the normative (...) and the moral side of such a narrative was conducted. Of particular importance is the establishment and isolation of the basic initial principle in the defined context that underlies both Sinai law and all the biblical law. Because with the change of historical realities, which coincided with the destruction of the Temple and the termination of sacrifices, the law has also changed. However, the biblical law was of particular ideological importance, it set the tone and revealed and formed the basic principles for the further development of all Jewish law. Therefore, in our study we have drawn attention to the main ideological features of the biblical laws, because in our opinion, the basic formative essence is hidden in them and only by understanding it − will we be able to understand Jewish law itself. However, the phenomenon of law and even more so of Jewish law, is one of the best regulators and exponents of the educational principle that is designed to raise a person in love. Of course, morality is called for it and it should take precedence over everything else, but the legal part should not be ignored. Law should serve as a socially just, integrative, fundamental, binding, most effective, most respected regulator. Therefore, the problem of combining legal principles and moral precepts for biblical law did not stand basically. The significant part of the adopted legal norms initially was characterized by moral prescriptions, confirmed and expressed by law. Such a transition, the shift from morality to law, and the close relationship between them are one inseparable whole. And apart from Halacha, which was responsible for the legal aspect, there were also the writings of the prophets whose task was to illuminate the transition from law to morality, because precisely morality is the essence of everything. Here is the true meaning of the existence of a legal expression of such an educational principle. Thus, the basic educational principle of the Decalogue, in particular, and of biblical law in general, was to educate a high-moral person who had restrictive precepts that would not allow him to fall into lawlessness, and the formative commandments that would allow a person to be educated in the search for God, and to stabilize himself in the godlike state commanded by God through Moses. That is the essence of the Decalogue and Jewish law. The educational principle, both basic and effective, though not so familiar to the modern understanding of the nature of law, is precisely the principle that laid down both the basis of the Decalogue and the foundation of all Jewish law at least in its biblical part. The article contains a critical analysis of the consideration of questions of spirituality with contemporary art. The article touches upon the destiny of humanitaristics in the modern world, the transformation of technological civilization and the role of contemporary art in these processes. The subjects of analysis are the statements of artists, their theoretical constructions. Spirituality does not belong to the list of topics that have remained in the metaphysical past. Spirituality is a synthetic concept, all-encompassing, oriented towards the consideration of (...) human life and processes taking place in the sociocultural sphere from the point of view of their integrity and teleological orientation. Modern and contemporary art considers the creative potential of culture in the construction of new social forms of life. Spirituality is a sign of the maturity of an individual who has transcended his narrow interests and transient values. At the end of the twentieth century, the activity paradigm of understanding spirituality was questioned. It was based on the idea of the identity of consciousness and being. From our point of view, the avant-garde and post-avant-garde made a significant contribution to this rethinking. It is found that in contemporary art there is a task to update the tradition of the avant-garde. Avant-garde is the problematization of the foundations of artistic activity and existence. To know oneself, to move away from social vanity, to learn to live together, to decide to believe - on these «pathos» things focuses artistic expression. The goal of contemporary art is a directed movement beyond the limits of visual experience to the experience of comprehending the truth. In contemporary art spirituality is understood as an anthropological condition for creativity, as a way to restore the destroyed harmony, a sense of universality, interconnectedness. (shrink)
