    This paper provides an account of the closure conditions that apply to sets of subvening and supervening properties, showing that the criterion that determines under which property-forming operations a particular family of properties is closed is applicable both to the finitary and to the infinitary case. In particular, it will be established that, contra Glanzberg, infinitary operations do not give rise to any additional difficulties beyond those that arise in the finitary case.

    Assume Q is a definable subset of a model of T. We define a notion of Q-isolated type, generalizing an earlier definition for countable Q. This notion is absolute. For superstable T, we give some sufficient conditions for the existence of Q-atomic models. We apply this to prove some results on weak categoricity over a predicate.

  • A bisimulation characterization theorem for hybrid logic with the current-state Binder.Ian Hodkinson & Hicham Tahiri - 2010 - Review of Symbolic Logic 3 (2):247-261.
    We prove that every first-order formula that is invariant under quasi-injective bisimulations is equivalent to a formula of the hybrid logic . Our proof uses a variation of the usual unravelling technique. We also briefly survey related results, and show in a standard way that it is undecidable whether a first-order formula is invariant under quasi-injective bisimulations.
