This work introduces the framework for selecting architecture in 5G networks, considering various technological, performance, economic, and operational factors. With the emergence of 5G technology, the architecture selection process has become pivotal in meeting diverse requirements for ultra-high-speed connectivity, low latency, scalability, and diverse service demands. The evaluation comprehensively analyses different architecture options, including centralized, distributed, cloud-based, and virtualized architectures. Factors such as network performance, scalability, cost-effectiveness, security, and compatibility are considered within a multi-criteria decision-making framework. Findings reveal each architecture (...) option's diverse strengths and limitations, emphasizing the importance of aligning architectural choices with specific use cases, deployment scenarios, and business objectives. We used the concept of multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methodology to control the various criteria. We used the single-valued neutrosophic set (SVNS) to deal with vague and inconsistent data. The SVNS is integrated with the hyperSoft set. The proposed methodology uses a single-valued neutrosophic hyperSoft set (SVNHSS) to select the best 5G architecture. We used the VIKOR method as an MCDM method to rank the alternatives. The proposed framework provides stakeholders with a structured methodology to evaluate and prioritize architecture options, facilitating informed decision-making in the complex landscape of 5G network deployments. By focusing on organizational dyad and including intraorganizational collaboration network inefficiency as a moderating variable, we explore the effects of multidimensional proximities on interorganizational coinnovation performance. This study aimed to assess the sensory attributes and general acceptability of steamed meat of broiler chickens fed with non-fermented (control) and fermented diets. The study used water, water + coco vinegar, and water + RPL8+AKE probiotic as fermenting causal agents. A total of thirty (30) breast carcass (steamed at 100oC for 10-15 minutes) samples per treatment at five grams (5g) per sample were utilized for evaluation. A group of thirty trained taste panelists composed of Food Technology students assessed the (...) sensory attributes using the quality score and Hedonic scale sheets. Descriptive statistics were used in the sensory evaluation, and analysis of variance (ANOVA), and multiple comparison test using Tukey’s honestly significant difference (HSD) test was used to compare the treatment means of the sensory attributes of the steamed meat samples in terms of skin color, flesh color, aroma, texture, taste, and general acceptability. The rating scores on skin colors (p-value=0.050), and texture (p-value=0.013) of steamed meat of broiler chickens fed with non-fermented and fermented diets were significantly different at a 5% level. Results revealed that the fermented diets have improved the broilers' skin colors (yellowish cream) and improved the texture quality of meat (moderately firm). Based on ANOVA, there is no significant difference observed in the descriptive scores in relation to flesh color (p-value=0.171), aroma (p-value=0.621), taste (p-value=0.723) and general acceptability (p-value=0.491). However, the steamed carcass of broiler-fed fermented diets (coco vinegar and probiotic) is slightly preferred based on ranks. Hence, fermented diets can modify the meat quality of broilers to meet consumers’ expectations. (shrink)

The demand for improved communication quality has rapidly increased. With the advantages of high channel capacity and transmission rates, MIMO antennas have attracted significant attention in wireless communications. This research presents a High-Isolation Dual-Band MIMO Antenna using a hybrid decoupling structure and a ground stub to mitigate mutual coupling and enhance antenna performance characteristics. The proposed dual-band MIMO antenna with high isolation is designed using a hybrid decoupling method that incorporates grounded stubs and defected ground structures. The final dimension of (...) the antenna is 58 mm × 34 mm × 1.6 mm. It covers two operating frequency bands: 2.37-3.71 GHz and 4.07-5.73 GHz, with relative bandwidths of 44.08% and 33.88%, respectively. By expanding the ground with a rectangular stub and etching a slot cut in the middle part of the metal, the antenna achieves isolation levels of over 27 dB and 42 dB in the two operating bands, respectively, and the envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) is less than 0.0025. The antenna features a simple structure, excellent omnidirectional radiation characteristics, and high isolation. It covers the 3.4–3.6 GHz and 4.8–5 GHz bands specified in the 5G spectrum standards for non-millimeter-wave antennas. (shrink)

Mobile and wireless networking infrastructures are facing unprecedented loads due to increasing apps and services on mobiles. Hence, 5G systems have been developed to maximise mobile user experiences as they can accommodate large volumes of traffics with extractions of fine-grained data while offering flexible network resource controls. Potential solutions for managing networks and their security using network traffic are based on UAA (User Activity Analysis). DLTs (Deep Learning Techniques) have been recently used in network traffic analysis for better performances. These (...) previously suggested techniques for network traffic analysis typically need voluminous information on network usages. Hence, this work proposes OFedeMWOUAA (optimal federated learning-based UAA technique with Meadow Wolf Optimisation) and DNN (deep Neuron Networks) for minimizing risks of data leakages in MWNs (Mobile Wireless Networks). In the proposed OFedeMWOUAA, the need to submit data to cloud servers does not arise because it trains DLTs locally and only uploads model gradients or knowledge weights. The OFedeMWOUAA approach effectively decreases dangers to data privacies with very minor performance losses in simulations. (shrink)

Manche argumentier(t)en bei der Sterblichkeit gar mit einer Zyklischen Welle: Es träfe vor allem jene, die in einem halben Jahr sowieso (an was auch immer) gestorben wären. Im Falle von Coronamaßnahmen würde deren Tod im Folgejahr lediglich nachgeholt. Das ist natürlich mehr als zynisch: Wer will das einem Menschen im Pflegeheim beibringen? Railway asset change detection through Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has transformed infrastructure monitoring by providing better efficiency combined with predictive maintenance functions and improved accuracy. The paper studies the development of railway asset monitoring throughout history while it moved from traditional manual inspections to AI-powered solutions. The study recognizes three main barriers which include irregular data acquisition practices along with restricted sensor abilities and imprecise AI model precision and difficulties applying them to current railway control platforms. The research investigates novel (...) data collection approaches besides studying hybrid AI model deployment and finding optimal solutions for railway operational AI integration. The research findings establish critical requirements for railway administrators and policy makers and developers of AI systems regarding standardized regulatory structures and enhanced AI interpretation capabilities and collaborative advancements. Mobile and wireless networking infrastructures are facing unprecedented loads due to increasing apps and services on mobiles. Hence, 5G systems have been developed to maximise mobile user experiences as they can accommodate large volumes of traffics with extractions of fine-grained data while offering flexible network resource controls. Potential solutions for managing networks and their security using network traffic are based on UAA (User Activity Analysis). DLTs (Deep Learning Techniques) have been recently used in network traffic analysis for better performances. These (...) previously suggested techniques for network traffic analysis typically need voluminous information on network usages. Hence, this work proposes OFedeMWOUAA (optimal federated learning-based UAA technique with Meadow Wolf Optimisation) and DNN (deep Neuron Networks) for minimizing risks of data leakages in MWNs (Mobile Wireless Networks). In the proposed OFedeMWOUAA, the need to submit data to cloud servers does not arise because it trains DLTs locally and only uploads model gradients or knowledge weights. În ultimii 60 de ani puterea de calcul a crescut exploziv, în special datorită cercetărilor spațiale, militare și industriale, și forțați fiind de recenta pandemie de COVID-19 și de conflictele geopolitice. Caracteristicile specifice viitorului apropiat vor fi putere de calcul mult sporită, dispozitive mai inteligente, dataficarea tuturor aspectelor vieții noastre, încrederea sporită în tehnologiile digitale, automatizarea sporită a proceselor industriale. Domeniile cele mai vizate sunt Internetul lucrurilor, realitatea virtuală, realitatea augmentată și inteligența artificială. Tendințele IT în afaceri, militare și geopolitică, (...) vor remodela viitorul nostru în plan social. Există tehnologii care nu sunt încă în stadiul lor stabil și matur, inclusiv rețele 5G, blockchain, realitate virtuală, etc. dar cărora analiștii le întrevăd un mare potențial. (shrink)

Le paysage technologique mondial moderne est façonné par les progrès rapides et l’interconnectivité, conduisant à un écosystème complexe d’innovation, de concurrence et de collaboration. Des développements importants sont constatés dans les domaines de l’intelligence artificielle, des télécommunications, de la biotechnologie et des technologies énergétiques. La numérisation redéfinit des secteurs tels que la santé, les transports et la finance, tandis que les flux de données transfrontaliers et l'infrastructure 5G accélèrent la connectivité mondiale. Des acteurs clés tels que les États-Unis, la Chine (...) et le Japon investissent massivement dans la recherche et le développement, renforçant ainsi les capacités de l’IA et de l’informatique quantique. Ces pays ont adopté des initiatives stratégiques pour accroître leur autonomie technologique et garantir que leurs entreprises restent à la pointe de l'innovation. L’Union européenne se positionne comme un acteur distinct dans le paysage technologique mondial, visant à stimuler l’innovation tout en garantissant la confiance, la confidentialité et la durabilité. En tirant parti de son pouvoir de réglementation, en investissant dans les infrastructures numériques et en renforçant la collaboration entre les États membres, l’UE cherche à accroître son autonomie stratégique et sa compétitivité face à une évolution technologique rapide. La Roumanie a connu un développement important dans son secteur technologique au cours des deux dernières décennies. Poussée par une combinaison de soutien gouvernemental, d’une main-d’œuvre bien formée et d’un positionnement stratégique au sein de l’Union européenne, la Roumanie s’impose de plus en plus sur la scène technologique. Cette étude donne un aperçu des tendances technologiques mondiales actuelles et de l'état des ressources technologiques dans l'Union européenne et en particulier en Roumanie, analysant les forces et les faiblesses du secteur et mettant en évidence les opportunités et les défis à venir. Evoluții semnificative se constată în inteligența artificială , telecomunicații, biotehnologie și tehnologii energetice. Digitalizarea redefinește industrii precum sănătatea, transporturile și finanțele, în timp ce fluxurile de date transfrontaliere și infrastructura 5G accelerează conectivitatea globală. Jucători cheie precum Statele Unite, China și Japonia investesc masiv în cercetare și dezvoltare, împingând mai departe capacitățile AI și ale calculului cuantic. Aceste (...) națiuni au adoptat inițiative strategice pentru a-și spori încrederea în sine tehnologică și pentru a se asigura că companiile lor rămân în fruntea inovației. Uniunea Europeană este poziționată ca un jucător distinct în peisajul tehnologic global, având ca scop stimularea inovației, asigurând în același timp încrederea, confidențialitatea și sustenabilitatea. Prin valorificarea puterii sale de reglementare, investind în infrastructura digitală și sporind colaborarea între statele membre, UE încearcă să-și sporească autonomia strategică și competitivitatea în fața schimbărilor tehnologice rapide. România a cunoscut o dezvoltare semnificativă în sectorul său tehnologic în ultimele două decenii. Condusă de o combinație de sprijin guvernamental, o forță de muncă bine educată și poziționare strategică în Uniunea Europeană, România își pune din ce în ce mai mult amprenta pe scena tehnologiei. Acest studiu oferă o imagine de ansamblu asupra tendințelor tehnologice globale actuale și starea resurselor tehnologice din Uniunea Europeană și în special din România, analizând punctele forte și punctele slabe ale sectorului și evidențiind oportunitățile și provocările care urmează.
