A carne bovina é uma das proteínas mais consumidas no mundo, favorecendo o comércio exterior. O Brasil é um dos grandes exportadores desse produto, o que leva à importância de buscar meios para se obter maior eficiência reprodutiva e produtiva. Dentre esses métodos, o uso de Inseminação Artificial em Tempo Fixo (IATF) vem aumentando e com isso vem a busca por estratégias para alcançar melhores taxas de prenhez. Uma estratégia é avaliar a nutrição do animal em conjunto com a condição (...) corporal. Assim a proposta desse trabalho é verificar a influência do Escore de Condição Corporal (ECC) na taxa de prenhez em vacas Nelore submetidas à IATF. O estudo foi realizado em propriedade particular no município de Cacoal, Rondônia, com 150 vacas da raça Nelore, multíparas, com idade média de 5 anos, submetidas ao manejo de pastejo semi-intensivo. Foram separados dois grupos sendo, grupo A: 75 vacas com escore ≥ 3,0 e grupo B: 75 matrizes com escore ≤2,5. Ambos passaram pelo mesmo protocolo farmacológico, dividido em três etapas (D0, D8 e D10). A inseminação artificial foi realizada no D10 e após 30 dias as vacas dos dois grupos passaram pelo diagnóstico de gestação, por ultrassonografia. Os resultados demonstraram que a taxa de prenhez do grupo A (68%) foi maior que a do grupo B (40%), sendo relevante a preocupação com o ECC de vacas Nelore em protocolos de IATF. (shrink)

They can also track earnings over time. Admins oversee the entire system, approving doctor profiles, managing patient records, monitoring payments, and generating reports for performance analysis. Automated notifications and reminders keep users informed about upcoming appointments. Security is ensured through JWT authentication, data encryption, and role-based access control. The system features a responsive front-end built with React.js and Tailwind CSS and a powerful back-end using Node.js and Express.js. The objective of the paper is to critically explicate the views of JS Mill in his "Utilitarianism" in regards to his efforts to clarify the concept of utilitarianism. In the first part of the paper it examined how successful was Mill in clarifying the idea of utilitarianism. In the second part of the paper, a critical discussion is presented to justify the applicability of his theory in dealing with contemporary moral dilemmas.

Drought is a critical environmental issue that affects agriculture, water resources, and ecosystems. Traditional drought monitoring methods rely on ground-based meteorological observations, which have limited spatial coverage and do not provide real-time assessments. This project aims to develop a Vegetative Drought Prediction System by integrating Vegetation Condition Index (VCI) data from the ISRO VEDAS VCI Dashboard, remote sensing indices (NDVI), meteorological drought indicators (SPI, PDSI), and machine learning algorithms (Random Forest, SVM, LSTM) to accurately detect and predict drought conditions. The (...) system utilizes VCI data from the ISRO VEDAS portal, which provides high-resolution drought monitoring for India. Additionally, satellite imagery from MODIS, Sentinel-2, and Landsat-8 is used to compute NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) to assess vegetation health. Meteorological indices, such as the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) and Palmer Drought Severity Index (PDSI), are used to evaluate precipitation deficits and long-term drought trends. Machine learning models further enhance drought prediction. Random Forest (RF) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) classify drought severity based on VCI, NDVI, temperature, and rainfall data. Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks analyze time-series data to forecast future drought conditions. These models are trained on historical drought records and meteorological data to improve accuracy. A web-based application is developed to visualize drought conditions, enabling users to select a region, analyze VCIbased drought indices, and receive real-time predictions. The frontend is built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React.js), while the backend is implemented using Flask/Django, with PostgreSQL/MongoDB for data storage. This project provides an efficient, scalable, and cost-effective solution for drought monitoring using ISRO VEDAS VCI data, benefiting farmers, policymakers, and researchers in making informed decisions and enhancing drought preparedness. In this paper, I ask whether mishpat ivri (Jewish Law) is appropriately conceived as a “legal system”. I review Menachem Elon’s use of a “Sources” Theory of Law (based on Salmond) in his account of Mishpat Ivri; the status of religious law from the viewpoint of jurisprudence itself (Bentham, Austin and Kelsen); then the use of sources (and the approach to “dogmatic error”) by halakhic authorities in discussing the problems of the agunah (“chained wife”), which I suggest points to a (...) theory more radical than the “sources” theory of law, one more akin to the ultimate phase of the thought of Kelsen (the “non-logical” Kelsen) or indeed to some form of Legal Realism (with which that phase of Kelsen’s thought has indeed been compared)? Zájem současné sociologie a dalších společenských věd o výzkumy spokojenosti a štěstí zatemňuje skutečnost, že původně právě sociologie chtěla „štěstí" poskytovat a nahrazovat tak náboženské přístupy ke světu. Tento implicitně nábo- ženský charakter je patrný i v rané české sociologii v dílech prvních propagátorů sociologie, jako byl především Emanuel Makovička, a později u některých následovníků a epigonů T. G. Masaryka, v meziválečném období zejména u Ladislava Kunteho, R. I. Malého, Alexandra Sommera-Batěka, Jindřicha Fleischnera a Jana Duška. Z hlediska vývoje české (...) sociologie šlo o zcela okrajové postavy, ačkoli mnohé z nich vynikly v jiných oblastech, jako celek jsou nicméně vyjádřením jednoho z aspektů dobových teoretických úvah o společnosti, jejím uspořádání a vývoji, na který by nemělo být zapomínáno. Zatímco T. G. Masaryka a pozdější akademické sociology „omezoval" vědecký charakter jejich práce, a i pokud směřovali k sociálnímu reformismu, oddělovali jej od teoretické sociologie, „sociologie vedoucí ke štěstí" nalezla plné uplatnění ve vizích a ambiciózních projek- tech těchto amatérských takésociologů - třebaže skončily faktickými nezdary nebo ani nedošly praktického naplnění, ostatně stejně jako v případě jejich pravzoru, Comtova pozitivistického apoštolátu. Cílem článku je ukázat, že německá raná romantika, která položila filosofické základy romantického hnutí, nebere příklon k subjektivitě prožívání jako odklon od poznání, nýbrž jako jiný způsob poznání. Romantická niternost nachází svůj protějšek ve zkušenosti světa, jemuž umění dokáže propůjčit hlubší význam než racionální filosofie a věda. Tento nový pohled na poznání je romantiky použit jak na výklad přírody, tak duchovní lidské skutečnosti. Článek upozorňuje na to, že vedle dědictví spinozismu měla romantická epistemologie důležitý zdroj v některých úvahách Kantovy Kritiky (...) soudnosti. Tato vazba je sledována zvláště na příkladu filosofie umění F. W. J. Schellinga. Argumentace článku je rozvinuta v kritické konfrontaci se subjektivistickou interpretací romantiky H.-G. Gadamera, čímž se ozřejmuje její širší epistemologický dosah i aktuálnost. Návaznost německých romantiků na Kantovu Kritiku soudnosti se spíše než tendencí k subjektivizaci estetiky projevovala ve snaze o estetizaci poznání. (shrink)

Slavná kniha Elementární formy náboženského života francouzského sociologa Émile Durkheima je jedním z nejdůležitějších příspěvků k sociologii náboženství. Po řadu let byla vychvalována a citována, stejně jako kritizována a zavrhována. Kniha se stala chartou celé řady sociálně vědních badatelů, zejména těch, kteří se zaměřovali na studium společnosti a náboženství. V roce 1966 však vyšel článek amerického antropologa Clifforda Geertze nazvaný „Nábo- ženství jako kulturní systém", v němž autor tvrdil, že Durkheimova teorie náboženství, stejně jako teorie náboženství Sigmunda Freuda, Bronislawa Malinowského (...) a Maxe Webera, by měla být překonána dokonalejší teorií náboženství. Touto dokonalejší teorií měla být Geertzova teorie. Porozuměl však Geertz Durkheimově teorii dostatečně, aby nás to opravňovalo k tvrzení, že Durkheim byl na poli teorie náboženství překonán? This project presents a comprehensive system for the secure storage, encryption, and controlled access of drug datasets using modern encryption techniques and cloud-based storage. Users can upload drug-related CSV files through a web interface, which are then processed and encrypted selectively before being uploaded to Amazon S3. Each file is associated with a unique encryption key, which is securely stored and can only be retrieved (...) by authorized users via password-based authentication. The backend is built with Spring Boot, implementing robust encryption logic, metadata storage, and integration with AWS S3. The frontend (developed using Next.js) enables users to upload, view, and manage their encrypted files in an intuitive interface. Key features of the system include role-based access control, data confidentiality, and secure key retrieval mechanisms, ensuring that only legitimate users can decrypt and access sensitive data. The primary objective is to decode collective sentiments, uncover opinion trends, and track their evolution within the digital realm. Twitter’s concise, real-time posts provide immediate public reactions, Amazon’s extensive review (...) corpus reflects customer satisfaction, and YouTube’s comment ecosystem captures multimedia-influenced sentiments, collectively posing a diverse analytical challenge. This study leverages a robust methodology encompassing data collection from varied sources, meticulous preprocessing to eliminate noise, and feature extraction using TF-IDF, word embeddings, and BERT. Multiple machine learning models—Logistic Regression, SVM, RNNs, and transformers—are evaluated to identify optimal performers, with training and fine-tuning guided by metrics like accuracy, precision, and F1-score. As urban populations continue to grow, cities are facing increasing pressure to manage waste more efficiently. This paper introduces Smart Bin , an IoT-powered waste monitoring system designed to improve how waste is collected and handled in smart city environments. The system uses ultrasonic sensors paired with an ESP32 microcontroller to measure how full a bin is, sending real-time updates to the cloud using either Wi-Fi or GSM (SIM800) modules. A lightweight, responsive web interface built with Svelte/SvelteKit displays bin data (...) such as fill level, location, and status, while Mapbox and Leaflet.js are used for map integration and route visualization. Alerts are automatically generated when bins reach certain thresholds, and data is synced through service like Ngrok and PocketBase. Although the current system focuses on real-time monitoring and efficient routing, it is designed to be scalable and ready for future upgrades, including automated route optimization. Towards the end of A System of Logic, John Stuart Mill makes some intriguing, suggestive, and neglected claims about what he calls “The Art of Life”. Despite the comparatively little attention that the Art of Life has received in the extensive scholarly literature on Mill, it turns out to be extremely important to understanding his moral philosophy and his practical philosophy more generally. It reveals Mill to be a considerably more subtle philosopher than it would otherwise seem. It also insulates (...) him from many unwarranted criticisms. In this entry I proceed by picking out some elements of Mill's discussion of the Art of Life, explaining them and then examining their significance. These include the metaethical distinction between sciences and arts, the relation between the art of life and morality, and the significance of his art of life in understanding normative ethical views, such as those defended in Utilitarianism.
