Damit ermöglicht er einen interdisziplinären Blick auf die Gültigkeit der Bedingungen von Willensfreiheit, die hinsichtlich ihres konstitutiven Verhältnisses zu automatisierten und unbewussten Prozessen untersucht werden. Willensfreiheit erweist sich aus dieser Perspektive als ein fähigkeitbasiertes Phänomen und fordert die idealistischen Positionierungen der Philosophie heraus.
